African football players were detained on the Russian border

The officers of department of Border Service “Dergachi” of Kharkiv Detachment detained four persons of Negroid race. The foreigners illegally crossed Russian border in the area of Ukrainian village Tokarivka. Three of them were citizens of Kot-d’Ivuar and the fourth man was from Ghana. They stated that they seriously went in for football and came to Russia to continue illegally their trip to European Union because they dream of playing in French professional league. At the present moment the detainees are in border subdivision and they are waiting for the court decision.

Government has dissolved State Migration Service of Ukraine

Government has dissolved State Migration Service of Ukraine. It is foreseen by governmental decree dated from July 7, 2010 №559 “Some questions on state governing in the sphere of migration”. This document  envisages to stop liquidation of State Department on Citizenship Affairs, Immigration and Registration of Physical Persons, and also to liquidate State Migration Service aiming at optimization of the system of state governing in the sphere of migration. 
Cabinet of Ministers has ordered to create a Commission on Liquidation of State Migration Service and to appoint Igor Repeshko to be at the head of this service. The document also establishes that assignee of State Migration Service on Citizenship, Registration of Physical Persons and Immigration is Ministry of Interior, and State Committee of Nationalities and Religions is responsible for the migration issues in the frames determined by legislation on refugees.
Plan of actions concerning visa-free regime of Ukraine with European Union in particular foresees creation of single migration body, approval of concept on state migration policy, creation of state electronic demographic register.

Illegal migrants from Tunisia were apprehended 150 m before the border

In the area of border post “Bodalovo” the junior officer of border detail noticed the movement of 3 persons in the distance of 150 m before the state border during observation of the locality with the use of night vision device. Senior officer was informed about this. Immediately the border post “Bodalovo” and department of border service “Luzhanka” started to the place. Due to skilful organization 3 persons were detained at midnight 50 m before the state border. According to the words of detainees the foreigners were from Tunisia. The refugees were delivered to border post for filtration-checking measures implementation.

28-year-old citizen of France was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment helping 25-year-old Congolese cross the border of Ukraine. They went to Poland by train “Kyiv-Warsaw”. The citizen of Congo showed the passport of black skinned Frenchman to the officers of the check point “Yagodyn” (Volyn region) and the other man presented somebody else’s French document with his photo in it.  

As it was cleared out, the Frenchman gave his passport to his fellow traveler and explained how to behave during the check up. Lybomyr District Court of Volyn region plead the citizen of France guilty in organization of illegal transportation of African person through the border and in using prematurely forged document.  

 The same court also has made responsible 30-year-old Somali woman and 22-year-old citizen of Netherlands for assisting her in crossing the state border of Ukraine illegally. The passenger of the train “Kyiv-Berlin” was apprehended in the check point “Yagodyn” with somebody else’s Dutch passport. Exposing the violator helped that she had piercing on the nose on the left side while the person on the photo had it on the right. In the course of inquest it appeared that African and his accomplice were involved in several crimes. For illegal forging of documents the women was fined for 850 UAH and the citizen of Netherlands was imprisoned for six months for assistance in illegal voyage.

Police detained two illegal migrants with a guide in Transcarpathia

Two illegal migrants were apprehended by police in Perechyn district. They were citizens of neighboring states who were transported by 39-year-old unemployed citizen of Svalyava district. The foreigners were handed to the border guards.
