Transcarpathian SSU arrested two smugglers at Hungarian border

SSU staff in Transcarpathian region apprehended two local residents, who intended to smuggle illegal migrants through Ukrainian-Hungarian state border.

It was established that one of bargainers hided four citizens of Afghanistan at the desolate cottage.

His accomplice being wanted by the police for the similar illegal activity had directly to smuggle illegal migrants through the state border beyond the check points.

In the end of August, nearby the town of Chop, SSU workers detained the car driven by the local resident with two citizens of Afghanistan.

The same day operative agents exposed and detained the second smuggler in the outskirts of the village of Chervonoe, Uzhgorod district, where he was waiting for his accomplice and illegal migrants.

The SSU investigators declared both detainees about suspicion according to Part 2 Article 332 (illegal transportation of persons through the state border of Ukraine committees on preliminary agreement by the group of persons).

The court has selected imprisonment as the preventive measure concerning these citizens of Ukraine.
Pre-trial investigation goes on.
