On March 5, 2013 a meeting of working group on issues of integration of refugees and persons in need of subsidiary protection took place at Transcarpathian Regional State Administration (RSA).
The participants of the meeting discussed the Regional Plan of Actions on Integration of refugees and persons in need of subsidiary protection for the period until 2020.
Transcarpathia, – it is said at the press centre of RSA, – needs such a programme as just in the course of the previous year 5 persons were recognized as refugees, 36 persons were granted subsidiary protection. 112 applications on asylum were submitted. 23 persons keep actual connection with Migration Service.
In particular, the Regional Plan foresees the investigation of reasonability to increase the facility of the acting Temporary Holding Centre, improvement of social and daily conditions. It is also planned to provide with the work of adaptation courses, courses on studying Ukrainian language, history, culture, government system of Ukraine, national legislation, etc. There will be also consultations with migration bodies, scientific establishments of foreign countries, international organizations and social associations aiming at learning the experience in the field of asylum, protection of refugees and persons in need of subsidiary protection.
