The overwhelming majority of illegal migrants detained by border guards are emigrants from CIS countries

Seven illegal migrants were apprehended by the border guards of Chop Detachment on the Slovakian and Hungarian border. All detainees were citizens of the countries that were founded in a result of USSR collapse – Russia, Georgia and Moldova. During the detention border guards had to use weapon apprehending three migrants from Georgia, and Moldavians resisted the detail.

The border guards of “Velykyi Bereznyi” had to detain the violators twice: they stopped three citizens of Georgia at about 10 a.m. 2 km before the border who had quiet evident intentions to get to Slovakia. The illegal migrants were so thrilled by the idea that decided not to pay attention to the border guards and reach the aim. Only shoots from the gun stopped brave Caucasians. Now it is found out that detainees arrived to Ukraine on legal basis through Byelorussia.

Chechen family also arrived here the same way – three detained citizens of Russia had migration cards. Husband, five and child (boy – five years old) were caught after operation of electrical alarm system.

Generally, in the course of seven months of the present year the officers of State Border Service detained more than one and a half thousand illegal migrants. Ten thousand more potential illegal migrants were refused in entering the country. The overwhelming majority of the migrants are emigrants from CIS countries.
