20-07-2014

On July 19, two citizens (women) from Russia arrived to the check point “Boryspil” by the flight from Moscow. During the passport control they addressed to the staff of State Border Guard Service with request to grant them refugee status. In the course of the interview the women explained that they had actively supported Ukraine in their country of origin as well as expressed their position in social networks. Fearing of political pursuit they were forced to leave RF and decided to ask asylum in Ukraine.

One more citizen of Russia had also applied with the same request on July 18. He arrived to Ukraine wearing the T-shirt with Ukrainian national symbols and informed that he was regularly beaten by unfamiliar persons in the yard of his house for participation in pro-ukrainian rallies. State Migration Service will consider the issues on status granting concerning these citizens of Russia.
