Two citizens of Russia asked for refugee status in the check point “Goptivka”

Tow citizen of Russia asked for refugee status in Ukraine in the automobile check point “Goptivka”, Kharkiv region. 47-year-old woman and 20-year-old daughter applied for refugee status granting during border control in the Kharkiv Detachment. These persons came from neighboring country on foot. In the course of the interview the woman reported about her Ukrainian origin and Ukrainian citizenship of her granddaughter. They were unable to e employed in Russia and were not provided with appropriate medical aid. Getting tired of constant harassments for ethnic belonging they were forced to ask for refugee status being afraid of their life and child’s life.  Upon drawing up required documents, the Russian citizens were delivered to State Migration Service in Kharkiv region.
