Not loosing time, a reaction group started to that place, which in the distance of3 km from the state border line detected and apprehended two men. When checking their documents it was established that detainees were citizens of Georgia of 1979 and 1980. Arriving to department of BS “Kamyanystya” and carrying out special measure, according to the words of detainees it became known that on August 11 of the current year they came to Ukraine by a regular flight “Tbilisi-Kyiv” through the check point “Boryspil”. Then they settled at their close friend’s home and during two days lived in the capital. After that they took taxi and made their way to Uzhgorod. Hiding a taxi they directed towards the border where they were detained by the officers of Chop Border Detachment. Adventures of Pakistanis in Sumy finished by deportation
The law enforcement agents deported from Ukraine students of Sumy State University – these were five Pakistanis. The young boys came to the country for studies; however they did not get to lessons. Six months they were living at their friends. It is unknown how would this story finish if policemen and board of the university did not intervene into this case.
It was morning. Policemen went to check student-violators at the place of their residence. The foreigners were surprised as they did not expect such an attention. Packed things meant that they were going somewhere. Five students from Pakistan were not interested in studies in Ukraine. However, entering the country they drew up papers for studies at Sumy State University, yet they did not come there and did not pay for studies as well. They did not aim at studying. They evaded registration by all means. They did not submit any passport data to Department of International Education. That is why direction of the university had to petition for compulsory return of the students to their motherland addressing to Bodies of Home Affairs.
The law enforcement agents suggest that during the last time the more often cases are when the citizens of the countries like Asia, Africa use Ukraine as peculiar channel in order to get to the countries of Eastern Europe. Many of them arrive here under the mask of students and in future use this status in their plans. The fortune of these false students has been solved by the court – in a day they will be sent to the country of their origin. Yearly, the increase in number of illegal migrants appearing influence on the growth of crimes and on spread of infection diseases as well which are not peculiar to our locality. More than 300 illegal migrants were detected in Sumy region in the course of this year, and about 50 of them had to be deported in a compulsory order.
Considering peculiarities of geographical position of Transcarpathian region the problem of illegal migration stays urgent here permanently.
SMVI (State Motor Vehicle Inspectorate) carries out active work on solution of migration issues. In the course of the present year a series of cases were fixed.
October 8 – in forest belt of Uzhgorod district 5 illegal migrants without documents were detained who named themselves to be the citizens of Afghanistan. In three days a car was stopped at the same area inside of which two citizens of Iraq were sitting who also did not have a right to stay on the territory of Ukraine. Some days later in Vynohradiv district two more illegal migrants from Georgia were apprehended. Except the very illegal migrants the workers of SMVI detect persons who favour illegal cross of the state border of Ukraine and discover illegal migrants at our territory.
It should be mentioned, the overwhelming majority of illegal migrants are males. During 10 months of the present year the service of SMVI together with other services of HAMIA in Transcarpathian region 81 persons were caught staying illegally on the territory of the country.
According to the words of the head of SMVI of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region Petro Lutsyuk:” Illegal migrants are transported and kept in inhuman conditions, they are dressed not in seasonal clothes, they do not keep simple sanitary standards and according to epidemiological situation in the state they are in the zone of high risk of illness. Thus, we ask citizens to inform about suspicious foreigners, especially from the countries of South-eastern Asia and the Nearer East over the phone…….. Reaction will be immediate”.
