More illegal migrants from Afghanistan are detained in Transcarpathia

The number of Afghanistan citizens has recently increased in the region that violates the rules on their stay in Ukraine and can use the state for illegal transit.

Just the last week during the day the border guards of Chop Border Detachment revealed 12 violators, immigrants from that country.
Thus, the operational workers carried out check of the dwelling in one of the flats in the town of Uzhgorod where in one of the rooms 7 citizens of Afghanistan were detected – two men and a woman with three children under age with no documents permitting them stay legally on the territory of Ukraine.  

Four more men and a two-year-old child were detained by the border guards of Border Service “Velykyi Bereznyi” in the distance of three kilometers from the state border in the suburb of the village Zavosyno.

In the course of apprehension the foreigners did not have any documents identifying them.  As it became known later, these citizens tried to cross Ukrainian-Slovakian border illegally aiming to get to EU countries.

At the present moment the citizens of Afghanistan are detained up to 3 days with the aim to clarify the conditions of delinquency. Now they are in temporary detention centre of Chop Border Detachment.
