Illegal migrants from Sri Lanka and Georgia were forcing through the border in Transcarpathia

Slovakian border guards detained four citizens of Sri Lanka intending to get to Slovakia illegally. Illegal migrants who were making their way to European Union with the help of special technical devices were detected by the border guards at the adjacent territory and Ukrainian border guards were informed about this.

Four more illegal migrants, citizens of Afghanistan were detained the day before by the border guards of the frontier post “Velykyi Bereznyi” together with the officers of MOI. The foreigners were hiding in the suburb of the village Velykyi Bereznyi where most likely they were waiting for an opportune moment to cross the line of the border. Also, the other days, the detail of Border Service “Vilok” in Transcarpathia were observing unusual picture for this season. Unfamiliar man was swimming through the river Tysa from Ukrainian bank to Hungarian one. Ukrainian lawmen informed their colleagues on the other side about that swimmer. Soon Hungarian border guards stated about the detention of five illegal migrants – citizens of Georgia. It is still unknown if all the group of migrants was overcoming the way by swimming.

Generally, during the last weekends the workers of State Border Service of Ukraine detained 51 persons for the attempt to cross the state border illegally.
