Almost 500 local residents protested against the resettlement of 250 Syrian refugees to the town, arrival of whom is expected to be in April-May. The activists of Public Corpus “Azov” participated in the mass meeting. The residents of Yagotyn are indignant by the decision of the authorities. “They are afraid to have aliens in their town as they are threatened to be infected by dangerous diseases and worsening of criminogenic situation as it happened in the countries of European Union. They suppose that it will be more logically to accept the internally displaced persons from the east of Ukraine, who need help.” – it was said in the statement.
The car of the representative of state Migration service Nataliya Naumenko was bombarded with eggs.
