Border guards of Kharkiv Detachment detected four trespassers in the
area of BS “Tymofiivka” with the help of night vision device. Unknown
persons trying to cross the border beyond the check point were stopped
some meters before the state border. There were 3 residents of
Belgorod oblast and 80-year-old citizen of Georgia. The grandmother
explained that she as if wanted to get to Georgia as quickly as
possible and the nearest airport with flights to Tbilisi was in the
city of Kharkiv. Thus, she together with the accompaniment – her
grandson and his friends decided to help her and risked to make such a
trip. At present moment, corresponding administrative and procedural
measures are taken. The further destiny of detainees will be decided
by the court.
Two Turkish tourists were apprehended in Transcarpathia

Two citizens of Turkey were detained in Transcarpathia by the border guards of Chop Detachment. At the beginning, border guards were checking the presence of the documents of two foreigners arriving to the railway station by the train “Odessa-Uzhgorod”. Presenting their passports for travelling abroad they told that they arrived to Uzhgorod to sightseeing. Soon, border detail of BS “Onokovtsi” detained two unfamiliar persons 300 m before the state border. They were the same persons who as if arrived with tourist aim. Detainees were delivered to border subdivision of BS “Uzhgorod” for establishing the circumstances of the infringement and issue of administrative and procedural document.
SSU and SMS staff in Kharkiv oblast prevented attempts of unlawful legalization of foreign citizens in Ukraine

In a result of cooperation of Department of Security Service of
Ukraine (SSU) and Head Department of State Migration Service of
Ukraine (SMS) in Kahrkiv oblast there were detected and prevented
attempts of unlawful legalization of four citizens of Syrian Arab
Republic in Ukraine, who used forged invitation letters on treatment
at governmental establishment intending to prolong the term of their
registration on the territory of Ukraine aiming at further issuance of
permission on immigration to Ukraine. According to the mentioned fact,
the inspector of Department of Kupyanskyi SMS of Ukraine in Kahrkiv
oblast commenced criminal process as to Part 1 Article 358 of Crime
Code of Ukraine. Investigation actions are conducted.
IOM Representation holds meeting with Austrian experts

On September 17, a meeting was hold with the experts of Austrian
Representation of IOM, which had implemented monitoring visit to
Ukraine aiming at evaluation of cooperation efficiency of IOM in
Ukraine with SMS in realization of the project as to Capability
strengthening of bodies of Migration Service in counteraction to human
trafficking. The meeting took place in the premise of IOM
Representation in Ukraine, experts were informed about the results of
project realization. SMS of Ukraine was presented by the first chief
deputy S.V. Gunskyi.
Border guards started to gather illegal migrants as mushrooms in the wood

Border guards of Chop Detachment detained ten “happiness seekers” who intended to cross Ukrainian-Slovakian border illegally. The border guards acted after receiving warning information. In the course of the searching actions law enforcement agents succeeded to detect and apprehend a group of unfamiliar persons with children among them. There were eight brave men getting to Slovakia through the mountains. As in most cases, detainees could not confirm their citizenship as they did not have any documents. As they explained themselves, there were five Afghans and three Syrians in their “team”, out of them two minors of 2009 and 2012 year of birth. They also informed that Slovakia had to become just intermediate point of their trip to the countries of Western Europe.
Bearing the company, two men were apprehended in half kilometer before the border on Slovakia. They introduced themselves as the citizens of Georgia being without documents, who also wanted to get to European Commonwealth.
All violators, altogether they were 10, were delivered to border subdivision in order to establish the circumstances of the infringement and process administrative and procedural document. Decision on responsibility before the law and their further destiny will be decided by the court.

Russian tried to bribe Ukrainian border guards

The resident of Tulskaya oblast arriving by train “Sevastopol-Saint Petersburg” was apprehended by the border guards of Kharkiv Detachment. During the check of the documents in the check point “Kharkiv-railway” border detailed learned that 45-year-old citizen of Russia had stayed on the territory of Ukraine without registration since the year 2012. However, the Russian man did not lose countenance and proposed $100 and 400 UAH to law enforcement agents not to process documents concerning his infringement. At the present moment, after issue of corresponding documents the citizen is handed over to MOI staff.

Armenians planned to get from Transcarpathia to Slovakia illegally

Four migrants from Africa were apprehended by the border guards of BS “Smilnytsya” of Mostytskyi Detachment. Information about the appearance of foreigners nearby Ukrainian populated area Terlo was received by the border guards beforehand. Soon, the travelers were stopped for the check of the documents. As it was established they had no any documents identifying them, but according to their words they were the migrants from Cameroon and Guinea. Detainees also confessed that they intended to cross the state border illegally in order to get to the countries of European Union. Administrative documents were processed against the foreign citizens.
Two more citizens of Armenia together with 8-year-old child trying to cross the state border illegally were apprehended the same day by the border guards of BS “Palad Komarovtsy” of Chop Detachment. According to the words of the husband and wife, they wanted to get to one of the countries of European Union in the search of better destiny.

Border guards of Ismail Detachment stopped two teenagers travelling to Ukraine beyond the check point

While guarding the state border, border guards noticed two persons. Organizing the search, law enforcement agents stopped the trespassers in the suburb of the village Dolynske, Odessa oblast. After establishing the circumstance, it was cleared up that they were the citizens of Moldova having birth certificates. According to the words of one of them, his mother worked in Ukraine so they decided to visit her.
The same day, there was border-representation meeting with Moldavian border guards during which teenagers were handed over to the representatives of the neighboring side.
Georgians reached Ukraine on foot and got lost 100 m before the border

Transcarpathian border guards managed to detect violators of the border that were moving towards Slovakia with the help of night vision device. Border guards of BS “Vilok” of Mukachevo Detachment started immediately to catch the trespassers and stopped them 100 m before the state border. The men were the citizens of Georgia and reported that they as if wanted to get to Uzhgorod, however after unsuccessful attempts to stop some cars, they decided to go on foot and got lost. Now, detained men of 29, 32 and 39 years old are delivered to border subdivision for carrying out filtration measures and processing procedural documents.
