Grand opening of special premise for illegal migrants took place in Odessa Border Detachment. It is one of five centers constructed in the frames of the project financed by EU with total cost of € 260 thousand. This project also foresees the training of the specialists of State Border Service in European methods of fight against migrants.

Illegal migrants will be kept in a new-built centre during 10 days. Special attention is paid to safety of detainees, their access to legal information, services on translation and communication with non-governmental organizations, opportunities to get medical aid, meals and hygiene. Necessary conditions are also provided in special premises for work of the border guards on identification of the migrants and work with their different categories (children with no accompaniment, women, victims of people’s trade, etc).

All special premises for illegal migrants are built from mobile modules and in case of change of migration flows so the premises can be quickly relocated to another place.
