Recently border guards of Mostytskyi Detachment detected two violators. One of them was apprehended by the border guards of BS Shegeni due to information received from local residents who had informed about appearance of unfamiliar persons near the border. The citizen reported that he had arrived from Algeria and did not have any documents.
The other trespasser was detected by the border guards in the check point Krakivets. The man residing on the territory of France was caught during his attempt to enter Ukraine without valid documents by regular bus directing to German city Konstans. As it was learned the term of his passport for travelling abroad had finished.
The citizen of Guinea wanted also to get to Poland using another`s passport. The traveller made his way by mini bus and had the passport of other citizen of this country. The forgery was detected by the border guards of Lviv Detachment in the check point Rava Ruska.
Regardless of a ban, Uzbek wanted to get to Russia
In the morning border guards of Kharkiv Detachment apprehended a citizen of Afghanistan 15 meters before the border in the area of BS Vovchansk. 23-year-old young man intended to get to Russia beyond the check point but he could not avoid the meeting with the border detail. The service dog brought the border guards to the footsteps of the trespasser. While the circumstances of the infringement were establishing, it was learned that detainee had a ban on entering the territory of Russia. He decided to cross the border illegally because he as if left his relatives at the neighbouring territory. Now, details of the infringement are clarified. The further destiny of the detainee will be decided by the court.

June 20, according to UNO Resolution from December 4, 2000 the world celebrates World Refugee Day.
Refugees are the persons forced to leave their country due to the grounded fairs to become a victim of persecution for reasons of race, religion, citizenship, membership to certain social group or political beliefs.
The rights of the refugees and terms of refugee status granting are stipulated in 1951 Convention on Refugee Status and 1967 Protocol to it. Ukraine joined to these international agreements in 2002.
According to data of UNHCR, nowadays there are more than 200 million refugees registered in the world and about 25 million more are internally displaced persons.
Heading course of European Integration, in the course of the last years Ukraine has made a sufficient steps to bring the asylum institute to world standards. After creation of State Migration Service in December 2010, a principally new law “About refugees and persons in need of temporary or subsidiary protection” was adopted and started to act in Ukraine in 2011. This law has introduced refugee status as well as temporary and subsidiary protection and brought criteria, terms and procedures on protection granting to international standards and requirements of 1951 Convention on Refugee Status.
Nowadays, refugees are equated in their rights to ones of the citizens of Ukraine. By the beginning of 2013, about 2500 persons were registered in Ukraine. Only during 2012, 152 persons were granted refugee status or subsidiary protection. The largest number of migrants arrived from such countries as Afghanistan, Somalia and Syria.
During the consideration of applications received by the sub-departments of State Migration Service of Ukraine, its workers are guided by the norms of Ukrainian legislation, principles of objectivity, confidentiality, equality and humanism. Altogether, information submitted by the applicant is checked carefully with the aim to avoid abuse connected with protection granting. Decision on refugee status granting or status of person in need of subsidiary protection is accepted collectively after examination of all circumstances and present information. Any discrimination or preference based on the country of origin or other characteristics are completely excluded.
The important priority in the work of State Migration Service of Ukraine with the refugees is their integration into Ukrainian society. In August 2012, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine passed Resolution # 605-p by which Plan of Action was approved aimed at integration of refugees and persons in need of subsidiary protection into Ukrainian society for the period until 2020. The Plan foresees improvement of normative and legal base ensuring realization of refugees’ rights, development of international cooperation, events on formation of tolerate treatment of refugees in Ukrainian society, provision with education of Ukrainian language, history, culture and legislation, assistance in employment of refugees, etc..
In the frames of realization of above mentioned actions, Migration Service actively cooperates with Representation of UNHCR, non-governmental organizations and charity funds.

Two women from Palestine made signs of forgery on cross of the state border

In the course of the check of the passenger train Kyiv-Warsaw border guards of Lutsk Detachment detected two trespassers. Two passengers of 54 and 29 years old presented for control the passports of the citizens of Germany. Border guards established that documents corresponded to specified sample and did not contain the signs of the forgery. However, during the further check, law enforcement agents of BS Yagodyn noticed forged stamps on border cross of Ukraine. In the course of conducted complete identification it was established that these passports did not belong to their bearers and persons on the photos looked very similar to them. Finally, the travellers themselves told that they were Palestinians. At the present moment the women are detained until their personality and details of the infringement are established.
Woman from Georgia accompanied by two men was apprehended in Donetsk oblast

Border detail of BS Amvrosiivka of Donetsk Detachment apprehended a woman-citizen of Georgia and two our country fellow. As it was established, the residents of Ukraine (1972 and 1976 DOB) living in the border region, agreed for certain sum of money to smuggle 63-year old citizen of Georgia through the state border not far from the village Katerynivka. Law enforcement agents processed administrative documents concerning the violators for attempt to cross the state border of Ukraine. Detained citizens were handed over to SSU officers in Donetsk oblast for carrying out investigating actions and further attraction to responsibility foreseen by the present legislation.
State Border Service of Ukraine carries out joint frontier operation

State Border Service of Ukraine carries out joint frontier operation East-2013 together with Russian and Belarus colleagues aiming at stopping unlawful actions at the common borders. In the frames of the present operation that will last during June, border guards of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus will implement a complex of actions as to consolidation of efforts of border departments directed upon the increase efficiency of state borders security. The present actions are foreseen to realize operative and searching, preventive and other activities in order to detect, prevent and stop of unlawful activities through the state border, information exchange, interaction of subdivisions of border departments, support of border regime and one in the check points.
Four citizens of Afghanistan paid $ 44 000 for unsuccessful trip

Border guards of Chop Detachment detained four citizens of Afghanistan who wished to get to Hungary through the river Tysa. The border guards now are establishing the ways they planned to overcome rather serious water barrier. At about 3 a.m. border detail patrolling the area of BS Salovka detected the trespassers nearby the border with the help of thermal imager. Operative group with the service dog started to the place immediately and in 10 minutes they already had communicated with the violators. Detainees were a family – husband and wife together with their daughter and son (1996 and 1998 DOB). However, as in most cases, none of them could prove their personality, age and citizenship documentally, and the country of their birth they named Afghanistan. The happiness seekers also reported to the border guards that they paid $ 11 thousand for each to unknown persons for their trip to EU countries. At the present moment border guards carry out checking and administrative-procedural actions. Further destiny of the detainees and measure of their punishment will be defined by the court.
Two Georgians were getting to EU countries at night

Border guards of Chop Detachment did not permit two Georgians to get to EU countries by illegal way. Night travellers left just to walk four hundred kilometres to the line of Ukrainian-Slovakian state border. But the border detail of BS “Guta” detected them with the help of mobile thermal device. Unknown persons were moving towards the village Sukha Guta, Perechyn region, Transcarpathian oblast. Operative group started in some minutes for apprehension. The service dog took tge footsteps at once and brought the border guards, which were detained immediately. Two detained men without documents introduced themselves as the citizens of Georgia and told that they planned to get to the countries of European Union.

At about 4 a.m. border detail of BS Guta detected two men with the help of thermal imager, who were moving towards the state border. Operative group with the service dog started for detention of unfamiliar persons. The dog found the footsteps of the strangers and brought border guards to the trespassers who left 400 to reach Ukrainian-Slovakian bored. Two detained men were the citizens of Georgia. They marked European Union to be their final point of destination.
At the same time border guards of BS Chop showed their professionalism during the border control of the train “Moscow-Budapest”. The thing was that during the documents check the passport of the citizen of Bulgaria made border guards doubting in possible forgery. In a result of document examination the suspicious of the inspectors were proved because it was established that the page with constituent data of the person contained signs of the forgery.
In reality, as law enforcement agents managed to establish the bearer of the passport was the citizen of Syria.
Administrative-procedural documents were processed against all violators. Decision on responsibility before the law as to the detainees will be defined by the law.

Transcarpathian road inspectors handed over taxi driver to border guards

In the frames of operation realization “Groza” the officers of Khust State Road Inspection apprehended a man that introduced himself as the citizen of Afghanistan, but he couldn’t present any documents.
In the morning police officers stopped the car «BMW» driven by the resident of Vynohradiv region. The car was distinguished out of all flow of the transport by light indicator “taxi”. During the check of the documents of the driver officers paid attention to suspicious passenger, who had no any documents identifying his personality. The driver and passenger were delivered to Regional Police Station being suspected in illegal migration. Then the men will be handed over to the border guards in order to establish the legality of foreigner`s stay on the territory of Ukraine and relation of the taxi driver to this case.
