The staff of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine apprehended 11 migrants from Afghanistan at the Ukrainian border on Hungary in Transcarpathian region. Besides, there are seven children among the detainees. All violators were the citizens of Afghanistan – 2 men, 2 women and 7 children of different age. Moreover, it is indicated that family of five persons has already been detained at the Ukrainian border already in November 2015 and yet before they were detected by the military men of Chernivtsi Detachment.

It will be reminded that border guards forecast the sufficient increase in the number of migrants at the border between Ukraine and European Union in 2016.

Criminal group, organized the international transit channel of illegal migrants’ transportation through Ukraine-Belarus-Baltics- Scandinavia, has been recently exposed by the staff of State Border Guard Service.

In the course of the operative measures the border guards of Zhytomyr Detachmnet detained 2 members of the criminal group and 3 natives from Sri Lanka, who were moving by car towards Ukrainian-Belarus border. Two of the migrants had passport documents, and the third one only residence permit in Ukraine. Two inhabitants of Novograd-Volynskyi distric, Zhytomyr region unlike the passengers did not have identifying documents. Also, they did not have any documents for the vehicle they were driving.

When  performing preliminary operative actions border guards established that this criminal group organized the channel of illegal migration through Belarus to the Baltic countries, and from there – to Scandinavia. They attempted to deliver the next “travelers” according to an unlawful route planned in advance.

Criminal proceeding is commenced upon the materials of detention. The officers of SBGS together with National Police conduct investigative (searching) actions on disclosing and apprehension of the entire criminal group composition.

Border guards of separate check point “Kyiv” detected Palestinian family intending to get to EU countries by transit. Father, mother and two children used forged ID-cards of the Norway citizens. These persons are not admitted, documents are confiscated. The violators will be returned by a fly back.

Also, the citizen of Turkey attempted to get to the territory of Ukraine via Boryspil airport using false passport. 27-year-old Turk planned to get to Lvov and then to EU countries.

Border guards of Separate check point “Kyiv” detected the citizen of Afghanistan, who intended to cross the border using forged Macedonian diplomatic passport. The man, DOB 1985, arrived from Istanbul and then planned to get to Frankfurt.

In the course of the last year border guards of separate check point “Kyiv” exposed 175 persons using someone or false passport documents.

Several persons attempting to cross the state border beyond the check point were detected by the border guards of Mukachevo detachment.

The violators moving along the reclamation canal were noticed by the border guards of BS “Kosyno” by means of thermal imager. The reaction group first detained one of them in the course of the searching action. The traces of the second persons were found by help of the service dog. Also, border guards informed the neighboring part about the traces of one more man leading towards Hungary. Soon, Hungarian border guards detained the violator on their side. All detainees were the citizens of Guinea.

Detainees were delivered to Border Service Department in order to conduct filtration actions and prepared administrative-procedural documents.

The border guards of Lviv Detachment “Lviv-airport” discovered a citizen of Sierra Leone with fake passport in the checkpoint.

The woman arrived from Istanbul to Lviv showed her passport at passport control. However, the inspector of Border Guard Service had suspicions about the authenticity of this document. In the course of detailed passport examination the  border guards noticed the lack of watermarks at information page and traces of its mechanical damage and other signs of forgery.

Police was informed on this point. Citizen of Sierra Leone was rejected in crossing the state border of Ukraine. Violator will be returned by a back flight.

Several persons attempting to cross the state border beyond the check point were detected by the border guards of Mukachevo Detachment in the evening.

The violators moving along the soil-reclamation canal were noticed by the border guards of BS “Kosyno” by means of thermal surveillance device.

In the course of the searching actions the reaction group first detained one of them.  The service dog helped tracing another unfamiliar person. Also, the border guards informed the neighboring side about the traces of one more man moving in the direction towards Hungary.  Soon, Hungarian border guards detained the violator at their territory. All detainees were the citizens of Guinea.

So far, these persons are delivered to Border Subdivision in order to perform filtration actions and prepare administrative and procedural documents.

Three forged documents were detected in the Boryspil airport by the border guards of Separate check point “Kyiv”. The family (mother – 56 years old, daughter -23, and son -13) intended to use the forgeries when arriving to the airport from Istanbul. They presented documents of the citizens of France for control, which contained the signs of the forgery. In the course of the interview the violators confessed that they were the citizens of Syria and false documents were necessary for the transit trip to London.

The first stage of Temporary Accommodation Centre  development for refugees is under completion in the town of Yagodyn, Kyiv region. In particular, works on reconstruction of five-storied building to accommodate refugees, administrative premises, auxiliary and supply sections as well as arrangement of necessary engineering service lines for their functioning and site improvements are to be completed before the end of 2015.

The Centre opening is envisaged by the Action Liberalization Plan on Visa Regiment for Ukraine by European Union and by the Action Plan on implementation of Association Agreement between Ukraine and EU. The Project realization became possible due to the government support, which allotted costs for construction.

Georgian and Ukrainian attempted to get over the fence in order to reach European countries.

Border guards of BS “Uzhgorod” stopped the attempt of illegal cross of the state border. Border detail detected 2 persons in the course of verification actions nearby the state border line, who intended to get over the fence and to reach Slovakia in illegal way. The violators had identification documents testifying their nationality. These were the citizens of Georgia and woman from Ukraine.

So far, administrative procedural documents are composed with regard to the persons and their cases are handed for consideration.
