Number of illegal migrants in Czech Republic is increasing

As it was reported by director of Police of Foreigner’s Affairs, Milan Maier, the number of illegal migrants is increasing in CzechRepublic. In 2013 police detected 4135 persons having no necessary documents to stay in CzechRepublic.

In 2012, there were 500 persons less. Often, these are citizens of Ukraine, Russian Federation and Vietnam among the illegal migrants. According to data of Police, Czechia is a target country for the citizens of eastern-European countries. Immigrants from African countries use Czech Republic as transit way.

Two groups of illegal migrants from Afghanistan were detained in Kharkiv and Transcarpathia

Border guards of Kharkiv Detachment detained apprehended the group of illegal migrants from Afghanistan nearby Ukrainian-Russian border at night. While patrolling the border, law enforcement agents of BS “Dergachi” noticed unfamiliar persons. The travelers just crossing the border beyond the check point between Russian and Ukrainian villages were apprehended at once. During the interview, the detainees reported that they were citizens of Afghanistan, however, they did not have any identification documents.

Besides, the border guards of Chop Detachment detected one more group of illegal migrants from the same country in Transcarpathia in the evening. Four citizens of Afghanistan – 2 men and 2 women were stopped in the area of BS “Uzhgorod”.

So far, the verification measures are taken by the law enforcement agents as to the violators.

Syrian and Uzbek intended to cross the border with forged documents

The staff of SBGS detected the forged document in one of the passengers departing to Vienna in the airport of Kharkiv. The man presented the passport of Switzerland for the check. However, the forgery was noticed at once as there were no protective elements on it. Soon, the man informed that in reality he was 32-year-old Syrian and traveled to the countries of European Union to get refugee status there. Syrian also reported that the forged document was made in Greece by unknown man for а fee. Besides, the citizen of Jordan was detained in the airport assisting in purchase of tickets for the flight and he accompanied the detainee. So far, the Jordanian is handed to SSU staff in order to establish the circumstances of the infringement, and citizen of Syria – to MOI.

Also, border guards of Kharkiv Detachment apprehended the citizen of Uzbekistan in the check point “Kozacha Lopan”. The man arrived by the train “St. Petersburg – Simferopol” and had forged signs of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

In total, during the previous year, the staff of SBGS detected almost 1480 persons with forged signs of border department. Besides, in 2013 the law enforcement agents confiscated more than 14,7 thousand invalid documents, 430 – forged and 142 someone’s.

Violators with forged documents were detained in the airport “Boryspil”

During the check of the passengers’ documents travelling to Frankfurt, border guards detected the pseudo German in the airport “Boryspil”. Inspector of State Border Guard Service had doubts as to the belonging of the bearer’s travel document – the citizen of Germany. As it was established soon, the document was invalid as its forms were stolen and issued to other constituent data. The man presented the forgery explaining that he was the citizen of Syria. He intended to get illegally to Germany with invalid documents aiming at further employment. So far, the passenger arriving from Istanbul was returned by a return flight to the country of departure, and forged document was confiscated.

Besides, three Uzbeks and one citizen of Tadzhikistan intended to fly from Kyiv to Tashkent and Alma-Ata having forged signs of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The violators were handed to MOI staff in order to establish the details of the infringement.

Since the beginning of the year, more than 50 violators were detected, who intended to cross the border with forged signs of the Border Administration.

Since the beginning of the year almost 50 forged signs are detected by State Border Service of Ukraine

In the airport of the capital the border guards of Separate check point “Kyiv” detected the violator from Azerbaijan. The man arrived from Moscow and had forged sign of State Border Service of Ukraine.

Also, the border guards detected the citizen of Uzbekistan with the analogous sign. He intended to depart to Russian Federation. So far, the Uzbek is handed to MOI staff in order to establish the details of the infringement, and Azerbaijani is banned to enter Ukraine and was returned by return flight to the country of departure.

It is worth to mention that lately border guards more often detect the cases of forged signs use by the citizens from CIS countries. The violators mark them illegally aiming at gaining legal right to stay on the territory of Ukraine or escape administrative responsibility. Only since the beginning of the year, 48 such attempts were revealed.

During the joint patrolling, border guards of Ukraine and Hungary detained 6 illegal migrants

Six citizens from southern-eastern Asia were apprehended at the border on Hungary. They were stopped by the border guards of Ukraine and Hungary while conducting the joint control of the line of the state border. First, officers detected the tracks of the violators stretching to the border, and soon they stopped the very travelers. They did not have any documents. These were 4 men and 2 women.

It should be mentioned that, in general, during the day Ukrainian border guards with the colleagues of the neighboring countries conducted 3 joint checks of the border in Transcarpathia.

It also should be mentioned that the number of illegal migrants detained by the subdivisions of state border security in the course of the year 2013 decreased in 10% (2012 – 2182 illegal migrants, 2013 – 1 965). The number of persons detained for illegal cross of the border lessened in 16% (the year 2012 – 1 120 persons, 2013 – 944). The overwhelming majority of illegal migrants were apprehended at the border on Republic of Moldova (31% from total number of detained illegal migrants), at the check points of air route (20%), Slovakian Republic (19%),  Russian Federation (15%), Republic of Poland (5%), Romania, Hungary (by 3%).

Two Georgians, Turk and Kazakh intended to cross the state border of Ukraine illegally

SBGS staff detected and handed the citizen of Georgia to MOI officers in the check point “Zhulyany”. In the course of documents verification, border guards detected that the passengers of the flight “Kyiv-Kutaisi” had forged residence certificate on permanent living in Ukraine.

One more Georgian was detained by the border detail of BS “Milove” in Luhansk oblast. The man was walking beyond the check point and had a certificate from institution of confinement.

Border guards of BS “Porubne” of Chernivtsi Detachment detained the citizen of Turkey while he was trying to cross the state border illegally. The man reported that he intended to cross the border avoiding the check point because he did not have Ukrainian visa. By decision of Glybotskyi Regional Court, detainee was imposed a fine in the sum of 1700 UAH. Also, the citizen of Turkey was given a ruling on ban to enter Ukraine for the term of 3 years.

Besides, border detail of Chop Detachment stopped the violator in Transcarpathia. The man was apprehended by the law enforcement agents in the area of BS “Tysa” 100 m before the state border. The traveller informed that he was the citizen of Kazakhstan and as if he did not remember how he got to Ukraine.

Two Vietnams accompanied by Ukrainians were detected in Kharkiv oblast

Two citizens of Vietnam were detained by the border guards of Kharkiv Detachment in the area of BS “Vilkhuvatka”.

During the state border control, officers noticed the road of tracks leading towards the border. The law enforcement agents checked the adjacent territory at once and detained the violators, who crossed the border. Three Ukrainians transported two citizens of Vietnam by two cars. The travelers were delivered to border subdivision aiming at clarification of infringement circumstances and processing administrative and procedural documents. Decision on responsibility and further destiny of the detainees will be defined by the court.

Ukrainian failed to get to Canada with forged passport

In the airport “Boryspil” border guards of Separate check point “Kyiv” detected one violator. The passenger travelling to Amsterdam gave forged passport of the citizen of Israel to border guards for the check. However, the forgery was noticed by the border guards immediately. The page with constituent data of the owner was changed in the document. Soon, the man reported that he was 35-year-old Ukrainian and travelled to Canada on business.

Besides, the border guards established that Ukrainian border had already been crossed on this document by the bearer of the passport – 68-yrear-old man. So far, it is unknown where the man took the passport of the old man. The personality of the detainee is verified at the moment.

Border guards apprehended Georgia with he help of thermal imager

The next traveler intending to get illegally from Ukraine to Slovakia was detained with the help of thermal imager by Chop border guards.

At about 4 a.m., while observing the area border detail of BS “Palad Komarivtsi” detected a person moving towards neighboring country. Doing everything in operative group’s power that had soon arrived to the place, the man of Caucasian appearance was apprehended a kilometer before the border. The detainee reported that he was the citizen of Georgia and made his way to Austria in the searches of better life conditions. However, he could not prove all above mentioned by absence of his documents. He also explained that his route from Ukraine to Slovakia had been yet routed in Georgia with the help of the service Google maps. The violator was delivered to border subdivision for circumstances clarification and processing administrative and procedural documents. Decision on responsibility before the law and his further destiny will be decided y the court.
