Number of refugees and displaced persons approaches 1.8 million persons

150302091517_donbas_locals_624x351_afpAccording to data of UN Refugee Commissioner about numbers there are about 1.8 million refugees and internally displaced persons from the East of Ukraine.

«UNHCR: the number of refugees and internally displaced persons approaches 1.1 million, beyond its borders – 674 thousand, including 542 thousand in Russian and 80 700 in Belarus», – UNO stated.

Under the UNHCR statistic collected together with World Health Care, as of March 2, the number of died persons in Ukraine has comprised over 6 thousand persons including 298 passengers of Malaysian Boeing, yet about 14.8 thousand persons were injured.

Transcarpathian local inhabitants gave up illegal migrants from Caucasus

869708-98079685746_0In the course of actions undertaken as to counteraction to illegal migration, Transcarpathian border guards of BS “Velykyi Bereznyi” apprehended the next “asylum seekers” from Georgia.

Information about appearance of two men of Caucasian in the border area was received from local inhabitants at midnight and in 30 minutes unfamiliar persons were detained.

They also reported that their way had to be to Slovakia. They had no any documents. The migrants introduced themselves as the citizens of Georgia. They also told that aiming at searching better life conditions in the EU countries. As it was established later on, the men arrived to Ukraine in legal way, and they walked to Slovakia by the route planned through the service Google maps.

The violators were delivered to border subdivision to clarify the circumstances and prepare administrative and procedural documents. Their further destiny will be defined by the court.

Poland does not wish to grant refugee status to displaced persons from Ukraine

In the nearest time, they all will have to return home. Polish authorities will not grant Ukrainian refugees any status as it is considered that the residents of Luhansk and Donetsk regions can move to other safe regions of Ukraine.

“We were not issued refugees status” – Halyna Murzak, one Ukrainian displaced woman said in Poland.

For example, Polish authorities advice refugees to settle in the towns of the Western Ukraine. The final decision on refugee status granting to 30 Ukrainians will be made soon.

Polish authorities reject all Ukrainians appealing on political asylum. At the present moment, there are about 2 500 applications from the citizens of Ukraine.

Five illegal migrants were apprehended in Bukovyn and Transcarpathia

thumb_news_20150305_122639_1425551199In the frames of joint actions on counteraction to illegal migration the law enforcement agents detected and apprehended illegal migrants and their possible smugglers in Bykovyn. The violators were found by the joint operative group in the composition of the officers of State Border Guard Service and SSU in the area of responsibility of Border Subdivision “Krasnoilsk”.

The Interagency Group noticed unfamiliar persons in the village of Budynets, Storozhenetskyi district. At first, 3 persons were detained near the road, having no documents, previously the citizens of Sri Lanka. Also, 2 citizens of Ukraine were apprehended nearby in the car of Ukrainian registration. The men were without any documents, according to their words they were local inhabitants. So far, the citizens of Sri Lanka were delivered to temporary detention centre, verification is conducted as to the Ukrainian citizens’ involve in this violation.

Besides, in the course of operative actions border guards of BS “Uzhgorod” detained two citizens of Georgia. The men without any documents were stopped by the border guards of Chop Detachment some meters before the border on Slovakia. After administrative and procedural documents composing and identification of personalities, the violators were delivered to the court, which would make decision on their further destiny.

Illegal migrants from Georgia were detained in Uzhgorod nearby the border on Slovakia

thumb_news_20150305_122639_1425551199In the course of realization of a set of covert activities, the border guards of BS “Uzhgorod” detained two migrants from the Caucasian region intending to get illegally to Slovakia.

The appearance of two persons of Caucasian look moving towards the border was established beforehand by the border guards, and when it was left 500 m to reach the cherished border they were detained. The men did not have any documents explaining that they were the citizens of Georgia and aiming at searching the job and better life conditions they planned to get to Germany.

They arrived to Ukraine in legal way, the route to Slovakia beyond the check point “Uzhgorod” they assigned by the service Google maps yet staying in the country of origin.

In the course of the verification of corresponding data bases, the legality of men’s stay on the territory of Ukraine was confirmed. Their personalities are established. After drawing up administrative and procedural documents, the violators will be delivered to the court that defines their further destiny.

Two Syrians were apprehended at Hungarian border together with their “guide”

The driver, citizen of Ukraine was taking two Syrians in the direction of the border on Hungary. It was preliminary established that recently they had studied at one of the medical institutions of Ukraine. Verification goes on.

Already 3 494 displaced persons left the Crimea and Donbas

5960796857463524According to the operative information 766 578 moved from temporarily occupied territories and districts of ATO realization to other regions. There are 138 638 children and 346 157 disabled persons of them, including people from Donetsk and Luhansk regions – 746 293 persons, of them 133 028 children and 344 605 disabled, as well as the citizens resettled from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol – 20 285 persons, of them there are 5 610 children and 1 552 disabled.

The majority of internally displaced persons are settled in Kharkov region (145 52 persons, of them 16 997 children 97 494 disabled), Luhansk region (136 945 persons, of them 10 941 children and 110 741 disabled), Donetsk region (100 752 persons, of them 21 578 children and 30 176 disabled), Dnipropetrovsk region (80 115 persons, of them 14 866 children and 38 412 disabled), Zaporozhya region (59 346 persons, of them 15 094 children and 18 148 disabled), Kyiv region (35 341 persons, of them 8 060 children and 1 369 disabled) and in the city of Kyiv (39 047 persons).

The least number of displaced persons are in Ternopil region (2 395 persons, of them 636 children and 794 disabled), Chernovtsi region (2 491 persons, of them 796 children and 368 disabled), Ivano-Frankovsk region (3 127 persons of them 978 children and 407 disabled), Transcarpathian region (3 494 persons, of them 950 children and 1 045 disabled), Volyn region (3 548 persons, of them 1 018 children and 720 disabled) and Rovno region (3 621 persons, of them 1 074 children and 987 disabled)

The Municipal Bodies of executive power permanently search the premises suitable to place the internally displaced persons during the cold season.

So far, 908 objects of private property are defined, where 16 639 internally displaced persons can be accommodated.

The first group of refugees from Ukraine arrived to Czech Republic

5960796857463524The first of ethnic Czechs arrived to Prague from Ukraine deciding to migrate to their historical homeland in connection with the worsening of the situation in the area they still had lived. Novogorodovka (till 1946 — Czechgrad), from which the bus started, is located not far from the places where until quite recently there were the fights between the Ukrainian army and pro-Russian separatists. In the mid-March almost 40 persons out of the number of ethnic Czechs arrived to Prague by a special army aircraft. The rest of the displaced persons shall get to the Czech Republic till the end of August. In total, during the special action connected with the opening of the Czech Consulate in Odessa, 140 permissions were issued for the arrival and drawing up of permanent residence documents.

The Aid Program to displaced persons of the number of ethnic Czechs financed by Czech government provides for arrangement of the arrived citizens into the MOI hostels and rendering them one-time financial support. The assistance will also be granted in the process of job and permanent residence search.

The football player from Guinea traveled to Warsaw by a false passport

thumb_news_20150202_122154_1422872514Recently the border guards detained the violator from Guinea in the checkpoint “Yagodyn” of Lutsk Detachment. He was detected among the passengers in the regular bus making its way from Kyiv to Warsaw. The man presented his passport of the Belgium citizen for checking. However, the border guards noticed at once that the picture in the documents belonged to another person. During the conversation, the man said that a few years ago he came to play football in one of Ukraine’s leading football clubs, but the selection was finished, so he had to play in the clubs of lower division, where he received a lower salary. In order to find the best conditions of employment, he decided to go to another EU country buying a false passport for 400 euro. The protocols on administrative violation were drawn up as to the attempt of illegally cross of the state border. Further on, the violator will be expelled from Ukraine in compulsory order.

Poland fears mass flow of Ukrainian emigrants

150302091517_donbas_locals_624x351_afpUkrainian economy is falling in sight. It also threatens with the massive flow of Ukrainian emigrants to Poland, as it is regarded by the Vice Minister and Minister of Economy of Poland Yanush Pekhochynskyi.

«Signals from Ukraine are of great concern, thus, economy starts to fall apart, economical relations are starting to collapse», — the Polish officer said.

Pekhochynskyi also mentions that Ukraine has disappointed EU countries as yet a year ago many persons expected the country to turn to democratic country of Western European type with European value system. “Ukrainian elite «disillusioned by its inability to present a sufficient progress», — Pekhochynskyi stated.
