Policemen together with the border guards found and detected illegal migrants from Vietnam in one of the Uzhgorod flats.

The staff of Police Human Traffic Department together with the border guards visited one of the houses in Uzhgorod. Here, four dark-skinned men of the age 30-40 were detected in the flat of 58-year-old Gypsy woman. They had no documents introducing themselves as the citizens of Vietnam. According to the words of illegal migrants they intended to get to one of the countries in Western Europe. Illegal migrants were passed to Chop Border Detachment; police is looking for those participating in assistance to the illegal migrants.

Border guards of Odesa Detachment detected the violator in the airport of Odesa, who intended to cross the state border of Ukraine illegally. While examining the documents, the inspector of Border Guard Service noticed that one of the passengers intending to fly to Istanbul presented the passport with re-glued photo. So far, the ma, according to his words the citizen of Tadzhikistan, was detained for 3 days to establish his personality.

One more violator planning to get to Ukraine using forged passport was detected by the border guards of Mogyliv-Podilskyi Detachment in the check point “Bolgan”. First, the change of data page was noticed in the passport of the passenger of the regular bus “Tiraspol-Moscow”. Soon, receiving information it was established that passport used by the passenger was forged. The violator is detained till personality identification.

The citizen of Ukraine failed to cross the Romanian state border with false passport. Border guards of Mostystkyi Detachment apprehended the violator in the check point “Shegeni”. By court’s decision, the man will have to pay the fine in the sum of 1700 UAH. Materials on detention were passed to Department of MOI of Ukraine in Lviv region.

The migrants are protesting against the improper holding conditions at the Migrants and Stateless Persons Accommodation Centre in the town of Zhuravuchi, Lutsk region.

According to information of ZAXID.NET, in the morning on April 16, 2015 all foreigners refused to take breakfast and then dinner in order to attract attention of the Direction of the establishment to bad conditions of nourishment and holding in the camp.

As the source informed, on Monday, April 13, two men effected the attempt to escape from the camp in Zhuravychi, the next day they were detained and returned by the law enforcement agents. After this case, the migrants have started to express their dissatisfaction with the improper holding developing into obvious protest.

The press-secretary of State Migration Service of Ukraine Serhiy Hunko did not deny the fact that the migrants intended to attract direction’s attention to certain problems, however he convinced that there were no any revolt and migrants did not refused from food.

“They are communicated, now the situation is quite here. Yes, they are not satisfied with the nourishment, but I can assure you that conditions provided are in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation and Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers. They get food at the expense of the state budget neither worse nor better than, so to say, Ukrainian army. The same is concerned the holding conditions.“, – press-secretary of SMS of Ukraine explained.

It will be recalled that in 2012 Human Rights Organization Amnesty International paid attention to the facts of cruel treatment of the refugees at Temporary Holding Facility in Zhuravychi. Then, due to the information of the representatives of organization, the armed guard attacked the foreigners, who on January 6, 2012 went on hunger strike in protest against their unlawful holding.

Three citizens of Republic of Sierra Leone were apprehended by the border guards of Mostytskyi Detachment for the attempt to cross the state border of Ukraine. Border detail of BS “Smilnytsya” guarding the area of mountainous zone of Ukrainian-Polish border detained three unfamiliar persons of African appearance, who were making their way on foot to Poland beyond the check point. As it was established soon, detainees were 26, 27 year old citizens from the universities of Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk, being expelled intended to get to European Union in illegal way. The students’ final aim was to get to Germany, and the legend was their status of the refugees from Donetsk region. At first detainees reported to border guards fictitious stories about their durable residence in Donetsk region, they lost all their documents because of war actions and in such a way they have been saving from the war. According to the court decision, all three Africans were brought to administrative responsibility for attempt to cross the state border of Ukraine in illegal way and were fined for the sum of 3400 UAH each. Henceforth, they are expected to be expelled to the country of origin.

So far, there are 60 refugees registered in Migration Service of Transcarapathia and 78 persons in need of subsidiary protection.

Director of Refugees and Stateless Persons Department Natalya Naumchenko and UNHCR counselor Aleksandra Makavskaya visited Transcarpathia wih the monitoring mission. In the frames of their visit, they were acquainted with the work of Temporary Holding Centre in Mukachevo and Perechyn, communicated with its residents.

Now, there 62 persons living in the Centre, of them – 28 children.

Border guards of Mukachevo Detachment detained 11 illegal migrants.

The officers of BS “Kosyno” detained 4 persons. The violators were the citizens of Syria. Mentioned persons were moving towards the border by car, only one of them had documents.

One more group of illegal migrants was apprehended also in the area of BS “Kosyno”: 5 citizens of Syria and 2 from Sudan accompanied by Ukrainian man intended to get illegally to neighboring Hungary.

At the present moment, they are at Temporary Detention Centre of Mukachevo Border Detachment.

Their further destiny will be defined by the court.

SSU has submitted materials to the court as to the malefactors intending to smuggle 16 illegal migrants though the border in Transcarpathian region…

The SSU investigators completed the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceeding as to the organizers of international channel of illegal transportation of persons through the state border of Ukraine. It was established that four malefactors looked for the illegal migrants, provided them with temporary housing, transport and accompanied them in the border area in order then to smuggle them beyond the check points. The criminal group planned to smuggle 12 citizens of Afghanistan and 4 Syrians. They had to deliver illegal migrants to Ukrainian-Slovakian border, however, they were detained by the SSU officers.

The materials of criminal proceeding as to Part 3 Article 332 (illegal transportation of persons through the state border committed on preliminary agreement by the group of persons) of CC of Ukraine was submitted to Perechyn District Court of Transcarpathian region.

The citizen of Armenia intending to cross the border without any documents beyond the check point was apprehended by the border guards of BS “Uzhgorod” of Chop Detachment in Transcarpathia.

Border guards of Separate Check Point “Kyiv” detected two violators in the airport “Boryspil”. Two passengers – citizens of Bangladesh 29 and 35 years old – arriving by the flight from Arab Emirates presented the Ukrainian residence permit containing signs of forgery.

Besides, their passports for travelling abroad were false having the marks on acquisition of such certificates. The men explained that their relative assisted them in preparation of the documents for departure, with which these persons were detained.

Concerning the citizens of Bangladesh, a decision was made to ban their entry to Ukrainian territory for the period of 3 years.

Border guards of BS “Luzhanka” of Mukachevo Detachment noticed one man at the state border from observation unit. The reaction group detained the violator during his attempt to go over the barrage fence in the distance at about 50 m before the state border.

The man explained that he originated from Sudan, however, he could not prove it by documents.

Besides, the border detail detected and detained one more violator in the distance of some tens of meters from the place of detention on remand while searching and supervising the locality. According to the words of detainees they were from Eritrea.

Afterwards, 2 citizens of Ukraine were detected not far away; probably they participated in smuggling of illegal migrants.

Detainees are delivered to border subdivision for their identification and conducting the verification.

Information about probable unlawful activity as to illegal transportation of persons from Ukraine to Hungarian territory was received by the border guards of BS “Luzhanka” of Mukachevo Detachment in time. Soon, the border guards noticed three persons moving towards the border with the help of thermal imager. In a result of search, border guards apprehended three persons without documents. According to their words,  one of them was the citizen of Syria, two others – from Iraq. The violators were delivered to border subdivision aiming at conducting verification measures and drawing up administrative and procedural documents.
