Border guards of Chop Detachment detained the trespassers making their way to Slovakia in illegal way. The military men detected four unfamiliar persons in the area of BS “Velykyi Bereznyi”. The men introduced themselves as the citizens of Afghanistan, however could confirm it by no any documents. The violators were delivered to subdivision for identification of their personalities and drawing up administrative and procedural documents.

Besides, recently border guards of BS “Reni” of Ismail Detachment detained three more Afghans 100 m before the Ukrainian-Moldavian border. In a result of filtration and verification actions it was established that these citizens crossed the border from Romania to Ukraine being hided in the lorry, where they were already placed in Istanbul.

In the course of the searching activities, this car of Russian registration was detected at one of the parking places in the village of Orlovka. Verification goes on…

Border guards of Chop detachment detained four illegal migrants from Asia in the area of BS “Novoselytsya”.  Information about appearance of unfamiliar persons in the border area was received from local inhabitant. The man reported that there were four persons with rucksacks moving towards Ukrainian-Slovakian border. The reaction group operated promptly and consistently and in some minutes the unfamiliar persons without documents were apprehended. According to the words of the detainees, three of them were citizens of Afghanistan (1 man and 2 women), and one more was the citizen of Pakistan. Detainees were delivered to border subdivision aiming at drawing up administrative and procedural documents for attempt to cross the state border.

Decision on responsibility before the law and their further destiny will be defined by the court.

25 illegal migrants were detected by the staff of Migration Service of Transcarapathia in cooperation with the policemen and border guards in the frames of the practicing under the conditional name “Migrant” conduced in the period of March 10-24.

The results of the target prophylactic actions directed upon the prevention and counteraction to illegal migration and other violations of the Ukrainian legislation in the migration sphere were analyzed at the meeting in the Main Office of State Migration Service in Transcarpathian region.

At the present moment almost 3.5 thousand foreigners reside in the area on temporary or permanent basis.

There are 68 foreign citizens called to administrative account for violation of the stay rules in Ukraine and 32 Transcarpathian residents for invitation of the foreigners and provision them with dwelling.

In the course of practicing realization, the staff of the Service made 13 decisions on compulsory return of the foreigners to the countries of their origin (8 citizens of Russian Federation, by one from – Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Moldova, Sudan and Uzbekistan), out of them 3 persons were forbidden to enter the country.

Four illegal migrants were apprehended by the officers of State Border Guard Service in Sumy and Transcarpathian regions in the frames of counteraction to illegal migration.

One of the violators was detained by the border detail of BS “Yunakovka” of Sumy Detachment in the suburb of the village Novenkoe 300 m before the state border. It was established that the man was the citizen of Tajikistan, he intended to avoid the check point. There was a mark “Entry ban to territory of Russia” in his passport. One more trespasser was detained by the border guards of the same detachment some minutes later in the suburb of the village Novenkoe. According to the man’s words, he was the citizen of Afghanistan also moving towards the border on Russia.

Two violators were apprehended at once by the border detail of BS “Luzhanka” of Mukachevo Detachment. The men without documents representing themselves as the citizens of Georgia were stopped 200 m before the border on Hungary.

Border guards of BS “Goronglab” of Mukachevo Detachment noticed a group of persons moving towards the state border with the help of thermal imager. Unknown persons travelled along the field intending to avoid the check point. However, four “travelers” without documents were apprehended by the border guards in the distance of 2 km before the border. During the interview they introduced themselves as the citizens of Vietnam. Detainees were delivered to the border subdivision with the aim to conduct the verification actions and process administrative-procedural documents.

On March 13, a joint press conference of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Viktor Nazarenko and the first deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine Yuriy Artjuhov was held in the Government House Chairman. They informed about the main results in the cooperation between the agencies in the fight against the organized crime at the state border.

…Since October of the last year, 23 channels were disclosed, 65 persons were established participating in its activity, and 13 criminal proceedings were commenced on illegal transportation of the persons through the state border of Ukraine by joint efforts of the departments. Thus, the coordinated actions are performed in the number of the regions of Ukraine both at the channels of entrance and migrants’ concentration so at the direction of departure from Ukraine. At present, 7 channels are liquidated and 13 organizers are detained. In total during this period 1080 illegal migrants are apprehended, yet 5240 potential migrants are not passed to Ukraine…

Five illegal migrants were apprehended by the border guards of Lviv and Kherson Detachments.

Two trespassers intending to cross the state border in the check point “Lviv-air” were detected on March 12. The passengers – a girl and a boy – arriving from Istanbul presented their passports of the citizens of Germany for the check. However, during the verification it was established that they were false. In the course of the interview the persons reported that they were the citizens of Iraq, they bought their documents for $10 000 in Istanbul aiming at moving to the countries of European Union.

Besides, the border guards of the same detachment detained two illegal migrants in the area of responsibility “Belz”. Two unfamiliar persons walking in the direction to the state line were noticed by the inhabitants of the village of Peremyslovychi. Detainees, being the citizens of Syria, were delivered to border subdivision to draw up procedural documents and provide the committed infringement with the legal qualification.

One more violator was detected by the border guards of Kherson Detachment in the check point “Dniprobuh-commercial sea port”. The partially forged passport belonging of the citizen of India – change of the constituent data – was noticed by the law enforcement agents. The man arrived by the motor ship “Nord Fihter” (the flag of the Marshall Islands). The violator was forbidden to come out into the shore.

According to data of UN Refugee Commissioner about numbers there are about 1.8 million refugees and internally displaced persons from the East of Ukraine.

«UNHCR: the number of refugees and internally displaced persons approaches 1.1 million, beyond its borders – 674 thousand, including 542 thousand in Russian and 80 700 in Belarus», – UNO stated.

Under the UNHCR statistic collected together with World Health Care, as of March 2, the number of died persons in Ukraine has comprised over 6 thousand persons including 298 passengers of Malaysian Boeing, yet about 14.8 thousand persons were injured.

In the course of actions undertaken as to counteraction to illegal migration, Transcarpathian border guards of BS “Velykyi Bereznyi” apprehended the next “asylum seekers” from Georgia.

Information about appearance of two men of Caucasian in the border area was received from local inhabitants at midnight and in 30 minutes unfamiliar persons were detained.

They also reported that their way had to be to Slovakia. They had no any documents. The migrants introduced themselves as the citizens of Georgia. They also told that aiming at searching better life conditions in the EU countries. As it was established later on, the men arrived to Ukraine in legal way, and they walked to Slovakia by the route planned through the service Google maps.

The violators were delivered to border subdivision to clarify the circumstances and prepare administrative and procedural documents. Their further destiny will be defined by the court.

The citizens of Ukraine rescuing from war left their homes and moved to neighboring Poland, thee still have not been granted any status…

In the nearest time, they all will have to return home. Polish authorities will not grant Ukrainian refugees any status as it is considered that the residents of Luhansk and Donetsk regions can move to other safe regions of Ukraine.

“We were not issued refugees status” – Halyna Murzak, one Ukrainian displaced woman said in Poland.

For example, Polish authorities advice refugees to settle in the towns of the Western Ukraine. The final decision on refugee status granting to 30 Ukrainians will be made soon.

Polish authorities reject all Ukrainians appealing on political asylum. At the present moment, there are about 2 500 applications from the citizens of Ukraine.
