Forged documents were detected at four citizens of Kirgizia and Armenian

Border guards of Separate check point “Kyiv” detected five violators in the airport Boryspil. Four citizens of Kyrgystan departing to Moscow had forged signs of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The passengers were handed to MOI officers in order to establish details of the infringement.

Also, the forged document, namely certificate on residence in Ukraine, was detected by the border guards at 31-year-old citizen of Armenia. She arrived from Erevan by plane. The citizen of Armenia is denied to enter Ukraine for the term of 3 years and returned by a return flight to the country of departure.

Number of detained illegal migrants reduced in 10 % in 2013

Sufficient number of illegal migrants is detained at the border on Slovakia. Thus, border guards of BS “Palad Komarivtsi” of Chop Detachment detected a violator travelling in the direction to Slovakia. Detainee did not have any documents, but introduced himself as the citizen of Georgia.

In total, for the last year the number of illegal migrants detained by the subdivisions of border security has reduced in 10% (2012 – 2182 illegal migrants, 2013 1956). Out of them the number of persons intending to cross the border illegally has lessened in 16% (2012 – 1 120, 2013 – 944).

And the number of potential illegal migrants, who were not admitted to the territory of Ukraine,  has increased in 48% (2012 – 4 640, 2013 – 6 849). The majority of potential migrants were not able to pass in the check points of air connection (40% from total numberі), at Russian area (32%), Belarus (15%), Moldavian (12%) areas of the border.

Two trespassers were detained in Odessa and Sumy oblasts

Border guards of BS “Grebenyky” of Kotovskyi Detachment detected the stateless person of Moldova not far from the border. The man was stopped between Ukrainian village Serbka and Moldavian one Blyzhniy Hutir 10 meters before the state border. The traveler did not have any documents, however during his examination a bayonet-knife with the edge length of 27 cm was found in man’s stuff. SSU officers were informed on the present fact.

One more violator without documents was apprehended nearby the border in Sumy oblast. The border detail of BS “Svesa”, first, detected the tracks of one person. Examining the surrounding area, the border guards noticed and caught up the woman. She introduced herself as the citizen of Moldova.

So far, the border guards establish details of the infringement.

In the course of joint border control examination the border guards of Ukraine and Moldova detained trespasser

The staff of State Border Service together with the border guards of neighboring countries conducted 8 joint patrollings on examination and detection of violations at the border. The controls were mainly carried out at the southern and western areas of the state border.

Thus, during the joint examination of Ukrainian-Moldavian border, border guards of Belgorod-Dnistrovskyi Detachment in the area of BS “Pidgirne” detected and detained the citizen of Ukraine. The man intended to leave Ukraine between the Ukrainian village Serpneve and Moldavian ones Bessarabka. So far, the reasons of the man’s decision to bypass the check point are established.

And in the western area of the border, the citizen of Turkey was apprehended. The traveler, being stopped 350 m before the state border, was walking towards the border to Poland in the area of BS “Nyzhankovychi” of Mostytskyi Detachment.

Two more trespassers trying to leave the territory of the country through the check points were stopped by the border guards of Mukachevo Detachment. One of the violators travelling through the check point “Vilok” intended to cross the border on the passport of the citizen of Hungary. Ukrainian being stopped in the check point “Kosyne” was passing the border with the passport of his father. According to the court decision, both violators were imposed a fine in the sum of 1700 UAH each.

Besides, during the day, 38 potential migrants were not admitted to Ukraine. The most part of the travelers provided untruthful information while crossing the state border.

Iranian by Bulgarian passport intended to get to Frankfurt

In the airport “Boryspil” border guards of Separate check point “Kyiv” detected the next violator. The passenger arriving from Istanbul showed his forged passport of the citizen of Bulgaria. However, the officers detected the forgery immediately. Soon, the man informed that in reality he was Iranian and he planned to use the forged document to get to Frankfurt aiming at improving his living conditions. So far, the traveler is returned by a return flight to the country of departure.

It is worth to mention than since the beginning of the year the border guards detected 14 persons trying to cross the border with forged and someone’s documents.

In 2013 – almost 100 million persons were registered in the check points, the half of which were the foreigners

In the course of the last years, permanent growth of passenger and transport flows is considered at the state border of Ukraine. For instance, in 2004 the fixed index of passenger flow comprised 67 million persons, in 2008 – 89 million. Yet, during the year 2013 almost 100 million persons (99,31 million) were registered in the check points and more than 21 million transport means, which is 7% and 4% more in comparison with the previous year. At the same time 47,5 million citizens were Ukrainians, and almost 52 million – foreigners. While travelling the majority of Ukrainians crossed Ukrainian-Polish border (30% out of total number) and Ukrainian-Russian border (25%), 15% made their way via aviation check points. Out of total number of the foreigners, more than the third (37%) crossed the border from Russia, Moldova (21%), Belarus (16%) and 10% were traveling by planes.

Fifteen-year-old girl was found in the bus to Slovakia

Border guards of Chop Detachment detected a passenger in Transcarpathia, who was hiding in the regular bus traveling to Slovakia. She was noticed inside the bus behind the back seat during the border control in the check point “Uzhgorod”.

The girl had no any documents. She informed that she was 15 years old and wanted to go abroad with the aim to look for better living conditions. She also told that she got on the bus at the bus station of Uzhgorod. The law enforcement agents failed to contact the relatives residing in Rakhiv region, thus, the girl was handed to the orphanage in the village Batyove, Beregovo region, Transcarpathian region.

Now, MOI, Public Prosecutor’s Office and Children Service of Transcarpathian Oblast State Administration are informed about detained girl.

Georgian was not admitted to the countries of European Union

In the course of verification actions the border guards of Chop Detachment detained the next “happiness seeker” making his way to EU countries.

The man of Caucasian appearance was stopped by the military men of BS “Uzhgorod” some meters before the border on Slovakia. On border guards’ demand to show the identification documents for the check, the unfamiliar person reported that he was the citizen of Georgia and had no any documents. He also confessed in his intention to get to one of the countries of European Union in order to improve his living conditions. So far, the violator is waiting for the court decision on responsibility.

During the day border guards did not allowed 60 persons to cross the border

The officers of State Border Service did not allow 61 persons to enter Ukraine. The majority of the travelers could not confirm their goal of the trip to Ukraine, either they had invalid documents or they did not have any permission documents to enter the country.

Thus, 17 travelers tried to present untruthful information during the border registration. They were detected mainly at the border on Russia, Moldova and in the airport “Boryspil”. Two more citizens of Turkey and Syria were not allowed to cross the border by the border guards of Simferopol Detachment. It was established that the men did not have any means to stay on the territory of Ukraine. The border guards of Separate Check point “Kyiv” did not let pass two citizens of India and Austria – they did not have visa to Ukraine.

Border guards apprehended Georgian and Moldavian in Bukovyn

Border guards of Chernivtsi Detachment detained two trespassers. Thus, according to the information received from the local residents border detail of BS “Gertsa” detected one unknown person moving towards Ukrainian-Romanian border. The reaction group detained the travelers some hundred meters before the state border. The detainee was 29-year-old resident of Sukhumi, Chechnya. The man explained that he travelled to EU countries aiming at further employment.

The other traveler was detained by the border guards of the same detachment in the area of BS “Pdviriivka”. No explanations the man could give to the border guards, as he was in the state of strong alcohol intoxication. Soon, yet he reported that he was the citizen of Moldova.

Detainees will have to bear administrative responsibility for the present infringements.
