Repeatedly detained “tourists” from Russia attempted to injure themselves demonstartively

As it was informed by State Border Service of Ukraine, two citizens of Russia were detected at the railway station of the town of Uzhgorod. Interviewed migrants from Ossetia and Ingushetia reported that they arrived to Transcarpathia as tourist. Nevertheless, in some time, border detail caught them nearby the state border. Then, the violators confessed in their intentions to get to European Union.

The next day, Municipal District Court fined them in the sum of 3400 UAH each and made a decision about compulsory return. The men were taken to the train. However, the citizens of Russia persisted in their return back home. They got out at the first nearest station, took a taxi and made their way again to the border. Soon, the trespassers were stopped again by the law enforcement agents of Chop Detachment together with the police officers at the control post “Perechyn”. After that, detainees were delivered to border subdivision. Already there, probably for intimidation of the border guards and aiming at carrying out demonstrative actions, the men took out of the pocket prepared pieces of the blade and made themselves slight injures of soft tissues of the forearms. Provocative actions were stopped by the border guards at once, the first medical aid was rendered immediately and the ambulance was called for delivering the violators to the hospital. It was established that made injures were not dangerous for their health and did not need any hospitalization. In some time, detainees again found themselves in the border subdivision.

Russians were caught while trying to get from Uzhgorod to Europe

Border guards of BS “Uzhgorod” of Chop Detachment detected two citizens of Russia. Migrants from Ingushetia and Ossetia had just got out of the train “Kyiv-Uzhgorod”. During the interview, the men told that they had arrived to Transcarpathia with tourist aim. However, considering the origin of the citizens and operative information, border guards made a decision to organize a hidden observation for Russians.

Afterwards, law enforcement agents learned that they started on taxi in the direction of the state border and in 30 minutes border detail detained the trespassers. This time, they confessed in their intention to get to European Union.

The citizens of Russia are apprehended and handed over to Temporary Detention Centre of Chop Border Detachment.

Border guards detected forged Ukrainian residence certificates in Boryspil airport

Border guards of separate check point “Kyiv” confiscated forged permanent Ukrainian residence certificates from two passengers travelling to Baku and Tashkent during the check of the documents in the airport Boryspil. Mentioned passengers, 26-year-old Azerbaijani and 20-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan overstayed in Ukraine and wanted to avoid administrative responsibility, however, due to watchfulness of the border guards, these citizens could not violate the legislation.

Generally, a sufficient growth is observed in the number of the citizens violating the rules on stay in Ukraine using forged residence certificates.

Since the beginning of the present year, the border guards of SCP “Kyiv” confiscated more than twenty such documents as well as 3170 protocols were processed on administrative responsibility according to Part 2 Article 203 of Code of Ukraine on administrative Infringements. The sum of the fines comprised more than 2,5 million UAH.

Ukrainian intended to cross the state border with the passport of his twin-brother

Border guards of Chernivtsi Detachment stopped Ukrainian man who tried to cross the state border having another’s passport. Going on foot to Moldova through the check point “Kelmentsi”, the man presented for registration identification document, but the border guards finally established that passport document belonged not to him. Soon, 19-year-old Ukrainian confessed that he took passport from his twin-brother not accidentally.

Guinean jumped out of the train to get to Hungary

Information about the man jumping out of the train was received by the border guards from the conductor. Soon, law enforcement agents detained “runaway passenger” 100 m before the border line. He was the citizen of Guinea.

As it was learned soon, detainee arrived to Ukraine for studies some years ago. He decided to “visit” Hungary and was registered at the border according to his passport. However, he showed forged certificate of the citizen of France in the Hungarian check point. That was the reason of his return. Nevertheless, the man made a decision not to give up and while returning he jumped out of the train “Zahon-Chop” already at Ukrainian territory and continued his trip to Hungary.

Some more “travellers” were apprehended by the border guards of the same detachment. Late at night they stopped two unfamiliar persons 300 m before the border.  Detainees were the citizens Cote d’Ivoire and Somalia.

In generally, since the beginning of the present year, SBSU workers apprehended 716 illegal migrants, 300 out of them were apprehended for illegal cross of the state border, almost 400 for the violation of the rules on stay, and 15 more for other infringements. Besides, about 1830 potential illegal migrants were rejected in entering the country.

Moldavian hided in the boot in order to avoid the meeting with the border guards

Border guards of State Border Service of Ukraine found a citizen of Moldova hided in the boot of the car in Odessa oblast. The lorry minivan crossed Ukrainian-Moldavian border in the check point “Stanislavivka”. The vehicle was driven by the citizen of Moldova. In the course of registration, border guards of Kotovskyi Detachment found a man in the boot. Unknown was Moldavian having birth certificate and driving licenses. As it was learned, hiding in the car he intended to avoid border control and meeting with law enforcement agents. According to the present fact, Odessa SSU workers were informed on the point.

Other two citizens of Moldova were apprehended by the border guards of Belgorod-Dnistrovskyi Detachment in Odessa oblast. Both women crossed the border in the check point “Kuchurgan-auto”. During the control procedure, it was established that one of them used another’s passport of the citizen of Russia. It was learned that it was passport of her daughter. Other “traveler” took the friend’s passport to the trip, the citizen of Moldova, which she intended to use at the border. Both women were handed over to neighboring side.

Georgians got to EU countries through Transcarpathia in the search of happiness

State Border Service of Ukraine (SBSU) marks a sufficient increase in the number of the citizens of Georgia that try to cross Ukrainian state border illegally. Their “invasion” was noticed at the border of Transcarpathia for some time past.

The last case happened on Sunday, July 14.Two citizens of Georgia with a little child trying to cross the state border were apprehended by the border guards of BS “Krasnaya Talovka” of Luhansk Detachment. In the course of border regimen control not far from the Ukrainian village Blagoveschenka, law enforcement agents stooped the car driven by the citizen of Ukraine.

There were two citizens of Georgia with a child inside the car. The spouses together with their 4-year-old son intended to get to Russia. Documents on administrative proceeding were executed against the detainees. The citizen of Ukraine is handed over to other law enforcement agents.

SBSU also noted that last week the workers of State Border Service of Ukraine apprehended in Transcarpathia some groups of illegal migrants – originating from Georgia. The trespassers tried to get illegally to the countries of European Union.

In general, since the beginning of the year border guards have already detained more than 110 citizens of Georgia for illegal cross of the border and violation of the rules on stay in Ukraine. In comparison with the previous year this number grew in 1,5 times. Certainly, the goal of their trip is to reach the countries of European Union and Russian Federation. Because of severe legislation for the citizens of Georgia, the majority of them want to get there through Ukrainian territory.

Arriving here officially with often goal of the trip, the citizens of Georgia are apprehended by the border guards while trying to cross the state border of Ukraine. Quite often border guards confiscate forged documents from detainees or they have no any documents identifying their personalities at all.

Illegal migrants were detected in the airport Boryspil

Border guards of separate check point “Kyiv” in the airport Boryspil did not admit to Ukraine seven citizens of Lebanon arrived by the flight from Beirut. Mentioned passengers, four of them were children, travelled to Kharkiv as if with tourist aim. However, it was established that the citizens of Lebanon came to the country in the search of better residence conditions.

The same day, the border guards rejected in entering the country to two citizens of Nigeria and 9 citizens of Georgia whose aim of the trip did not correspond to the reality. Thus, Nigerians as if arrived for the prom of their friend and planned to stay for a week. However, the border guards detected that these citizens were already refused in issue of visa of Great Britain and Ukraine.

It is worth to mention, that since the beginning of the present year the staff of the check point “Kyiv” detected 415 migrants, 300 of them could not confirm the goal of their trip.

Border guards of Mohyliv-Podilskyi detachment took “lime” Frenchman out of the train

«Lime» citizen of France was detected in the check point of railway connection “Mohyliv-Podilskyi-Voltchynets”.

French passport presented by the passenger of the train “Moscow-Chisinau” attracted attention of the border detail at once. While visual examining the document it was established that the facial features of its bearer were sufficiently different from the image on the photo. In addition, the height indicated in the document did not also correspond to the reality. In the course of the further investigation other essential forgeries were noticed.

Subsequently, the “Frenchman” with African appearance named himself as the citizen of Congo. According to his words, in order to get to Moldova and from there through EU countries to Great Britain he used his brother’s passport. The violator assured the law enforcement agents that he started to such a many-kilometers-voyage for the sake of love as his girlfriend lived in far foggy Albion. The “lime” Frenchman is detained until his personality will be established.

SSU disclosed channel of organizers of illegal migration

SSU officers in Transcarpathia region apprehended three local residents that were suspected in organization of international smuggling channel of illegal migrants through the state border of Ukraine.

In the end of May of the present year, operative group of SSU detained two cars in one of the populated areas of Vynohradiv region in which members of the grouping transported four citizens of Sri Lanka and one Pakistani. Then the malefactors planned to smuggle illegal migrants through Ukrainian-Hungarian border beyond the check point. Illegal migrants made their way to the countries of European Union choosing Ukraine as a transit territory.

A criminal case was commenced concerning the detained citizens of Ukraine according to Part 3 Article 332 of Criminal Code of Ukraine. Sanction of the Article foresees punishment in the form of imprisonment for 7 to 9 years.

 According to the court decision, preventive measure was chosen as two malefactors – imprisonment , the third one – was sentenced to pay the fine in the sum of 22 000 UAH.

 Illegal migrants were handed over to State border Service of Ukraine for deportation from the territory of Ukraine.
