Kyiv Police detained a car “Toyota” with five illegal migrants in it. The foreigners were of the age 20-25 years old having no any documents. They attempted to cross the border through Ukraine looking for a better life. Young people wished to get to Germany – some of them wanted to get to the relatives, the others find a job, however, all of them have the same dream of finding the constant place of living. At night the car was stopped by the officers of SPS on the 32-nd km of the highway Kyiv-Chop which was driven by the inhabitant of Svalyava district, Transcarpathia.  30-year-old Yaroslav escorted by his car his friend – the driver of the car “Toyota”. Only for transportation of living goods to Western Ukraine the drivers had to receive $300 for each foreigner. It stays only to guess how much their way to Europe costs taking into account all the expenses. The policemen apprehended the smugglers. According to the court decision they will stay under arrest for two months. Besides police establishes the circle of persons participating in organization of illegal transportation of the citizens through the state border. At the present moment illegal migrants are at the placement centre for foreign citizens in Chernihiv region. Soon they will be deported outside Ukraine back to their country of motherland.

The group of illegal migrants was detained tonight at Polish border. The officers of department “Shegeni” (Lviv region) learnt about the appearance of suspected persons in the area. The foreigners were seen by local people in the area of railway station “Mostyska-2”. The border guards started the search and soon they detected the place where the foreigners had rest. The detail started their search by the footsteps, the officers of border service of neighboring state informed about uninvited guests. Oriented by Ukrainian lawmen Polish colleagues soon had stopped three illegal migrants who were citizens of Georgia.

In the end of the last month, 7 persons crossed the border in the district Ublya-Malyi Bereznyi. There were 4 citizens of Somali and 3 persons from Palestine.   They all crossed Ukrainian-Slovakian border in Transcarpathian region through so-called “green way” i.e. through the neutral line of the border…

As it was reported by press-secretary of Border Police Administration in Sobrantce, Agnessa Kopernitskaya, illegal migrants left their homes already  in February of the present year and each of them spent $ 3000 for the trip to Slovakia. So, the day before three Somalis and four Palestinians were returned to the border guards of Transcarpathia, as according to Law on Readmission, illegal migrants are sent back to that country they illegally get from.

According to data of border guards, adventurous Moldavians were apprehended twice during the last 24 hours who were attempting to take by storm the border on EU. The half of all detained illegal migrants at Ukrainian border are citizens of Moldova. From almost 1200 detained persons by the officers of State Border Service this year about a half are the residents of Republic of Moldova.

At 7 p.m. the border detail of department “Uzhgorod” of Chop detail stopped a man and a woman 10 m before the border who were inhabitants of Moldavian city Kagul. In the course of 2 and half hours three more their country fellows were apprehended by the detail of department “Novoselytsya”. Now the detainees are at temporary detention centre and are communicating with the representatives of agency of immediate investigation.

The head of Lutsk Border Detachment raised a criminal case according to the Article 332 of Crime Code of Ukraine “Organization of illegal transportation of persons through the state border of Ukraine” as to the citizen of Netherlands who was apprehended the day before in the airport “Boryspil”. The dark skinned Dutchman attempted to be registered for the flight “Kyiv-Vienna” with national passport explaining that he had lost his foreign one. The man did not know that some hours before his “lost” document was found by the border guards in the check point “Yagodyn”, Volyn region. A very similar to Dutchman citizen of Guinea was trying to get to Poland by train “Kyiv-Warsaw” with this document. After the border guards manifested that presented by him passport belongs to another person, so 27-year-old African confessed in his intentions to get to France. His friend agreed to help him in organization of illegal trip for $3000.

Now illegal migrant and a citizen of Netherlands who is suspected in participation to organization of illegal trip are in the subdivisions of State Border Service. The last one is threatened with criminal responsibility in the form of imprisonment for the term of 2 to 5 years.

Two groups of illegal migrants – citizens of Afghanistan – were attempting to cross the state border of Ukraine illegally. Three persons stealing into Slovakia were noticed by detail of Border Service Department “Novoselytsya” in Transcarpathian region. Seeing the lawmen the violators started to run away. Ukrainian border guards informed Slovakian colleagues about the runaways and together with them surrounded the illegal migrants. As a result, one of them was apprehended at Ukrainian side, two others – at Slovakian one. Soon they were handed to State Border Service. The detainees named themselves as citizens of Afghanistan being of the age 17-26.

One more group of Afghanis was caught at the opposite side of the country. The detail of department “Dergachi” of Kharkiv Detachment stopped four men of age 16-39 years old early in the morning who were travelling from Russia along the railway track.

At the present moment illegal migrants are at temporary detention centers of border subdivisions. The officers establish the details of Afghanis’ trip and persons participating in its organization.

The officers of department “Luzhanka” detained 4 citizens of Turkey. the foreigners most likely arrived to Transcarpathian region aiming at further illegal trip to the countries of European Union. At the present moment it is unknown how did they got to Ukraine, however there are no marks of border cross of the state in their documents. The detainees were delivered to border subdivision. The details of their travel the border guards hope to learn with the help of interpreter because the violators did not know any European languages.

At night, in the course of operative information training the border guards detained 4 persons in the area of BS “Luzhanka”. During the questioning it was determined that above mentioned persons were the citizens of Turkey who got to the territory of Ukraine by illegal way. The age of detainees was 16-22 years old. Then they were delivered to border post “Luzhanka”. The investigation is in the process.

The other day sentence of Uzhgorod Local District Court came into effect concerning the citizen of Vietnam N. who is involved in organization of illegal transportation of inhabitants from south-eastern Asian countries to European Union through the territory of Ukraine.

The officers of SSU in Transcarpathian region ascertained some persons from among Ukrainians including the residents of Transcarpathia who arranged the channel of “illegal” business – the task consisted in transportation of citizens of Vietnam and China through Russian-Ukrainian border with following delivery to Slovakian Republic.  Afterwards their accomplice N. was also established. In addition, the foreign woman organized temporary residence for illegal migrants in the city of Kyiv and in the region. A police officer was also involved in a deal who “secured” the smuggling of foreigners accompanying them from Lviv region to Transcarpathia.

According to the results of case consideration which was investigated by ASSUU department, the citizen of Vietnam is convicted in commissions foreseen by Part 1 Article 255 (creation of crime organization aiming at grave crime preparation and also guidance of such organization) and Part 2 Article 332 (organization of illegal transportation of persons through state border of Ukraine) of Crime Code of Ukraine and she is sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment with confiscation of means of crime commission and postponement of sentence execution through Article 75 of CC of Ukraine for the period of 3 years. Investigation concerning other members of organized criminal group is continued.

Seven violators trying to cross the border from Russia to Ukraine were apprehended in Sumy region. Early in the morning the detail of Department of BS “Seredyna Buda” heard a suspicious noise in marsh brushwood. The officers settled an ambush and soon apprehended the group of violators. From two adult and five almost young men only one guy had documents – the citizen of Russia, immigrant from Afghanistan. It was established before that his fellow travelers were the citizens of Afghanistan. They had only a pack with bread. Money, valuable items and passports as if were taken away by the guides. Now detainees are delivered to border subdivision. The conditions of law contravention and persons participating in organization of illegal trip are clarified.

Generally, in the course of the last day Ukrainian border guards detained 24 violators who attempted to cross the border. Besides, according to information of officers of State Border Service their colleagues detained 4 Somalis and 3 Palestinians, the lawmen of MOI – 3 citizens of Iraq.
