Transcarpathia accepts refugees, supplies them with clothes, food and help with work

Transcarpathia accepts settlers. Calmness and peaceful sky above is sought in this landscape area by hundreds refugees from the Crimea and the East of Ukraine. HospitableTranscarpathiansdo notonlyprovidethem with shelter as well they help finding some work. The officials reissue pensions and social payments in a matter of hours; provide children with the kindergartens and educational establishments. The volunteers and sponsors supply with clothes and food. The flow of the Crimean refugees has already decreased here. But, the number of migrants has enlarged lately from the east of Ukraine. Transcarpathian Oblast Budget has foreseen 1 million 800 thousand UAH for transportation ensuring, nourishment and placement of settlers at Transcarpathian sanatoriums and hotels.

108 Crimeans have appealed to Transcarpathian Migration Service

Subdivision of Migration Service of Transcarpathia continues to provide 108 citizens with administrative services being forced to leave occupied territory of AR Crimea due to the circumstances and move to Transcarpathia.

Sofar, 108 appealshavebeenreceived. Outofthem 82 personsregisteredresidence place, 12 -place of temporary residence. Five citizens addressed to paste a photo on reaching the corresponding age, 9 persons were documented by the passports of the citizens of Ukraine for travelling abroad.

Aiming at operational solution of problems being in the competence of Migration Service, a close cooperation is arranged with coordination headquarters attached to Oblast State Administration of Regional State Administrations.

Meeting took place in Mykolaiiv oblast as to realization of project on construction of Detention Centre Voznesenskyi region

On June 5, 2014 the chief of DSMS of Ukraine in Mykolaiiv oblast Ivanov V.V. visited the construction site of Detention Centre to keep illegal migrants in Vozhesenskyi region, Mykolaiiv oblast.

The present project is financed by European Union.  After building viewing a joint meeting was hold with the participation of the representatives of State Architect-Building Control in Mykolaiiv oblast, representatives of MOI of Ukraine in Mykolaiiv oblast and representative of the contractor firm “EL – MAK INTA OZSOY” JV.The issues of construction readiness and term of commissioning were discussed at the meeting.

Spouses and 9 children from Kramatorsk asked asylum in Poland

Almost every day border guards of Mostytskyi Detachment let pass the citizens through the western border of Ukraine to Poland wishing to get refugee status in this country. If since the beginning of these events in Ukraine, mainly the refugees from the Crimea departed to the neighboring country, so now with the tension growth in the eastern oblasts, residents of Luhansk and Donetsk go to Poland. Thus, during the previous day a family with many children (spouses and nine children) left the town of Kramatrosk, Donetsk oblast through the check point “Shegeni”. Because of constants fights in the region the parents decided to seek asylum abroad.

Since March of the current year, more than 200 citizens have crossed the border in the area of Mostytskyi Border Detachment, who manifested their wish to ask refugee status in Poland. In total, from March 20 Poland has accepted 266 persons, out of which 260 citizens of Ukraine, 1 citizen of Egypt and 5 Russians.

Ukraine does not see any refugees at the border on Russia, they are only seen in Russia

State Border Guard Service of Ukraine informs that no citizens of Ukraine expressed their wish to get refugee status in Russia. But, Russian Mass Media spread information about thousands refugees from the southern-eastern Ukraine, who were accepted by Rostov oblast during the last day and the number of which is growing within each day. They are referring to information spread by Children’s Ombudsman attached to the president of Russian Federation, Pavel Astakhov. It is mentioned that in the course of the day 11417 citizen of Ukraine crossed the border on Russia. For example, on June 2, this number reached 11151 citizens of Ukraine and the days before on May 30 it comprised– 15380 Ukrainians. Almost the same number of Ukrainian cross Ukrainian-Russian border to enter Ukraine. Besides, we shall remind that some days ago Pavlo Astakhov also spread information that as if there was detention of the bus with children on the border on Russia by Ukrainian border guards and that the children had to leave Ukraine on foot. However, no vehicle with children was detained at the border, including children-refugees to Russia.

Russian posed as Uzbek was detained in “Boryspil”

Border guards of Separate check point “Kyiv” detained a passenger in the airport “Boryspil”, who traveled to Istanbul. The man presented the passport of the citizen of Uzbekistan for the check, however, the law enforcement agents established that the document was false. As it was verified later on, the violator was the citizen of Russia in reality. He explained that he came from Caucasian region to Ukraine in spring last year as he was subjected to oppressions. The man, being Muslim, also reported that for a long time he stayed in the east and south of the country with religious purpose. But, within situation worsening in these regions, he intended to leave Ukraine and to go abroad, where one of his families lived. For this aim he as if bought the forgery, because according to his words, the passport for traveling abroad was taken away by Russian law enforcement agents. So far, his further destiny will be defined by the court.

145 families from Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol moved to Zhytomyr oblast

… as to June 3, 145 family-migrants arrived to Zhytomyr oblast. 322 persons addressed for assistance in solution of social and everyday issues to bodies of governmental bodies.

As to June 3, 126 Crimean migrants addressed to Department of SMS of Ukraine in Zhytomyr oblast and territorial subdivisions on the issues of preparation of administrative services, the majority of them appealed on the issues of registration of residence place (76 persons) and removal from the registry from AR Crimea (58 persons), for 15 persons residence place was registered for 6 months, for 9 persons – photos were pasted into the passports of the citizen of Ukraine upon reaching the age of 25 and 45, 8 passports of the citizens of Ukraine were drawn and 15 – passports of the citizens of Ukraine for traveling abroad, 3 persons received passports of the citizens of Ukraine with input data about children in them and 2 travel children documents were issued for traveling abroad .

New website “Vostok-SOS” is organized for refugees from Donetsk to Uzhgorod

More and more Ukrainians want to move from the eastern oblasts of Ukraine to calm central and western ones, and volunteers are ready to help them in this.  The cconsolidated website vostok-sos.org site was created specifically for these purposes. Since April, the project team helped only inhabitants from Luhansk at the site Eurolugansk.org, and on May 12 clone has started throughout the region. The activists promise refugees to find housing, work and legal assistance. Also, anyone can offer their services to compatriots on a charitable basis. To apply for resettlement, one needs to fill a form entering personal data and information on the composition of the family. You can also add relocation preferences – where, when and by what transport you would like to move. In addition to assistance on resettlement, on the site donations are collected for the armed forces of Ukraine, who beat out the terrorist groups from the region in the frames of Antiterrorist Operation (ATO). The site is constantly updated with the information on the current situation in the East, and the reports are also published about the work of volunteers and application of donations that are received on account of the organization. Earlier, before the annexation of the Crimea, the activists launched an interactive map of places willing to accept refugees from the peninsula at the community “Crimea SOS».

Resident from the whole country assisted refugees – from Lviv and Uzhgorod to Donetsk and Luhansk.

Refugees are proposed to go either to Transcarpathia or to central Ukraine

Ministry of Social Policy assures that it is ready to provide all residents from the south-eastern part of the country with the housing, who are enforced to leave their homes because of danger to life. However, it certifies that there are different opportunities to shelter refugees in different regions of Ukraine. The most preferred cities for the settlers are still Kyiv and Lvov, however in the Ministry it is reported that the resources of these cities are limited: “We should mark that Kyiv and Lvov, where the migrants arrive more massively, there are certain difficulties in the number of places to locate and at the moment the government works upon the solution of the problem in increase of their number”.  People are proposed to go to Cherkassy, Vinnytsya and Zaporozhskaya oblasts and Transcarpathia, where according to the words of the authorities there is a sufficient number of places to live. Besides, it is stressed that residents of Donbass and the Crimea are to clear information about living conditions in those regions, where they are going to get beforehand.

Situation on social support of internal migrants in Ukraine has aroused sharply after annexation of the Crimea. As to May 8, the peninsula was left by about 8000 residents.

Chop border guards summed up the results of activity since the beginning of the year

Chop Border Detachment hold a service meeting to sum up the results of the activity for the current year. The board and officers of border detachment as well as the chiefs of the departments being placed in Uzhgorod, Perechyn, and V.Bereznyi regions participated in the meeting.

As it was marked by the first chief deputy of the detachment, the guarding of the border in the area of Chop detachment was realized in the conditions of sufficiently tense atmosphere, which is mainly preformed by the flow of illegal migrants. This year border guards apprehended 15% more illegal migrants in comparison with the similar period in 2013, herein, the number of all cases of detention has decreased in quarter. It testifies about the enlargement in the quantity of the groups of “travelers”. For example, the group of illegal migrants contained of 33 persons was detained in March not far from Uzhgorod.

In general, in the course of the reporting period of the present year the subdivisions of border control detained 102 illegal migrants. When realizing passport control there were 2 forged, 2 someone and 40 invalid passport documents detected.  About 180 persons were let through the border, in 109 cases there were violations as to stay rules by the foreigners in Ukraine. 264 persons were called to administrative responsibility and fined for the sum of more than 450 thousand UAH.
