Border guards apprehended 5 migrants from Caucasus at the border on Poland

thumb_news_20150630_174630_1435675590Border guards of Chop Detachment detained five migrants from Caucasus travelling to Poland in the frames of the operation “Border-2015”. Information about a group of Caucasian men appearance was received by the “green berets” of the BS “Verkhovyna Bystra” in time. By forces of the operative group starting to the place of detection two kilometres before the Ukrainian-Polish border unfamiliar persons were apprehended. All five detainees introduced themselves as the migrants from Georgia, however, they could prove this fact by no any document. Also, the detainees reported that aiming at better life conditions searching they intended to get to one of the EU countries. The violators were delivered to the sub-department, where measures on person identification will be conducted as to detainees and to draw administrative-procedural documents. The further destiny of the “travellers” will be defined by the court.

Two smugglers with illegal migrants are detained in Transcarpathia

T0673-700x421he special group composed of the staff fighting against the human trafficking of AMOI of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region arrived to the post “Nyzhnie Vorota” being a main transport artery at the entrance to Transcarpathia at night.

The policemen and border guards of Mukachevo Detachment were thoroughly checking the transport arrived to the region. It was the minibus. The police officer immediately paid attention to the antenna for the powerful radio station installed on the vehicle, and the driver with a woman were nervous during the verification of the documents.

A decision was made to check the minibus inside, where there found five young people of the eastern appearance. The foreigner could not show any documents to law enforcement agents. Finally, all mentioned persons were invited to the Territorial Police Department, where the origin of the foreigners was established. These were the citizens of Afghanistan in the age of 17 and 19 years old.

During the interview with the carrier in the Department, it was found that the citizen from Vinnitsya was not alone.

Somewhere close to the road another car was hidden with the “living goods”.

Thus, the law enforcement agents had already been expected for the “guest” from Vinnitsya with “exotic foreigners”. Some hours later, the mentioned car was noticed at the post “Nyzhnie Vorota”. Its driver intended to avoid the post – returning the car to the centre of Volovets, but it was stopped. There were three Somalians of the age 20-30.

Three Chinese intended to bribe Odessa border guards

0673-700x421Some violators of the border were detected by the border guards of Odessa Detachment in the check point “Odessa”. In the course of the passenger registration of the flight “Odessa-Sheremetievo”, 3 citizens of China intended to bribe the border guards in the amount of $150 putting the money into the passport. As it was established, the Chinese citizens planed to give money aiming at avoiding the administrative responsibility as they exceeded their term stay on the territory of Ukraine. Corresponding protocols were prepared as to these citizens and passed to MOI representatives.

There are about 3.5 thousand refugees in Transcarapathia: no perspectives to return

The majority of them have packed their lives to the suitcase. They name themselves in different way: at home among strangers, internally displaced persons. More often – refugees. Today, there is World Refugee Day. A year ago Ukraine just heard about the problems of foreign displaced persons, and today the war in Donbass turn out the millions of Ukrainians.

The people from Luhansk and Donetsk live in the hotel “Zalkarpatie”. There are more than 120 persons. The rooms are different here – from 12 to 20 square meters. The cost of this shelter is 1700 UAH per month. It is expensive for the pensioners, – IDP Tatyana is complaining. She arrived from Donetsk. During evacuation she came under fire. After injury she was unable to walk and now she is disabled person of group II.

About 3.5 thousand refugees have moved to Transcarpathian region. An attempt to be employed has not always been successful for these people. State Migration Service of Transcarapathia tells that displaced persons from the East are active applicants. In order to survive, yesterday’s directors become frontline workers.
The biggest problem for all refugees is accommodation.

In the course of four waves of resettlement, which was accepted by Transcarapathia, the flat rent has enlarged in many times. Before, the flat could be found for one thousand hryvnyas, elite one for 2.5 thousand UAH, now the average sum is 4-6 thousand per month.

The public organization formed of the very displaced persons has started to solve the problems of the refugees. The activists propose to municipal authority several options: allot land for construction of multistorey house for the refugees, either to transfer from municipal property outcast uncompleted construction projects to renew building.

Nowadays, the majority of the refugees from Luhansk and Donetsk have already crossed the point of non-return. They say they would return except perhaps after Ukraine’s victory to take their stuff, sell the housing and migrate to the Western Ukraine.

332 Ukrainians applied for asylum in Czech Republic in 2015

68462130ad18c13e9c50cb28c0f95eb5In 2015 the Czech Republic has accepted applications on asylum granting from 679 foreigners, which are 289 applications more in comparison with the first five months of 2014. In 50% cases the matter was about the citizens of Ukraine – 332 requests.

This growth is connected with the war actions on the territory of Ukraine and increased wish to return back to the historical native land of ethnic Czechs residing on the territory of this country. The Czech Republic has also received the applications from the migrants from Cuba – 59 requests, Syria – 38 and Vietnam – 38. The statistic data are published by Migration Policy and Asylum Department of MOI.

The Czech Republic belongs to a number of the most peaceful countries.

The Czech Republic possesses the 10th place in the rating of the peace-loving countries among 162 states included in this list. It was published by The Economist Intelligence Unit. In 2014 it was on the 11th place. Iceland is recognized as the most peaceful in 2015. This rating is composed every year since 2007. The countries are estimated by tens of criteria. For example, the evaluation involves the number of wars the country participated in the course of several years, quantity of died soldiers, volume of means allotted for the war needs, relations with definite countries, mutual trust of the citizens to each other, accessibility of weapon to the population.

For example, Denmark, Austria, Canada, Japan are in the top 10 of the countries with the highest rating of peacefulness finalized by the Czech republic. The USA is on the 94th place, Russia is on the 152nd. The last place in the list is allotted for Syria. The last ten of the rating includes – Iraq, Somalia, The Northern Korea and Pakistan.

Big family from Caucasus was detained a kilometer before Slovakia

thumb_news_20150616_111300_1434442380Border guards of Chop Detachment detained the groups of illegal migrants in the number of 11 persons in the frames of special operations on counteraction to illegal migration. Thus, in the area of Border Subdivision “Uzhgorod” while guarding the Ukrainian-Slovakian border an alarm complex went off as to the person movement at night. By forces of the operative group with the service dog and use of the means of thermal supervision, eleven unfamiliar persons without documents were detected and detained 800 m before the state border. There were two men, two women and seven minors of the age 1 to 16 years old. The violators reported that they were the citizens of Armenia and seeking the better life conditions intended to get to Germany. All detainees are in a good state. After their delivery to the Subdivision, they were provided with the hot food and means of first necessity. Upon preparing the administrative and procedural documents, their further destiny will be defined by the court.

Two Afghanis were detained in Transcarpathia

1395392037-8528The border guards noticed the movement of unfamiliar persons towards the border with the help of thermal imager. The reaction group of BS “Kosyne” of Mukachevo detachment detained two persons – a man and a girl – in the approaches to the border on Hungary. Detainees introduced themselves as the citizens of Afghanistan. They had no any documents. Also, in the course of the verification it was established that the violators of 25 and 15 years old were already detained in this area some days ago.

Border guards apprehended 4 Georgians nearby the border on Slovakia

1395392037-8528The group of illegal migrants from Caucasus was detained by the border guards of Chop Detachment in the area of BS “Velykyi Berezny”. Four unfamiliar persons moving towards Ukrainian-Slovakian border were detected and detained at about 2 a.m. While detaining two men intended to escape, however warning shoots up done from the special device stopped the travelers and they were apprehended. According to the words of the violators, all of them were the citizens of Georgia, however, they had no any documents. Their point of destination had to be one of the countries of European Union.

Later on during the inspection of the personal things, there was a memory stick found containing electronic documents with the constituent data for the subdivisions of Armed Forces of Ukraine, which probably is information with limited access. The expert evaluation of detected file will be conducted by the competent bodies. So far, the operative and verification actions go on.

Two residents of Odessa were detained for transporting illegal migrants to EU

1395392037-8528Two resident of Odessa were apprehended at the border in Transcarpathia together with 8 illegal migrants: 5 Vietnamese and 3 Afghanis. All of them arrived to Transcarpathian previous night assisting by enterprising persons from Odessa. At night, the Transcarpathian border guards detained 8 illegal migrants in the road Kyiv-Chop. The officers of Department on Human Trafficking Fight together with the policemen from the PSS special designation company stopped the minibus for checking. There were five Vietnameses and three Afghanis inside the car. The persons had no any documents confirming the legality of the foreigners stay on the territory of Ukraine. The law enforcement agents apprehended two residents of Odessa who organized the transportation of illegal migrants to Transcarpathia.

Border guards apprehended 4 Somalis and 3 Afghans in Transcarpathia

thumb_news_20150518_111902_1431937142In the course of actions undertaken against the illegal migration, the border guards of BS “Velykyi Bereznyi” of Chop Detachment apprehended 4 migrants from African continent. Information about the movement of unfamiliar persons towards the border was received from the local inhabitants at about at midnight. In a result of conducted searching measures four trespassers were detained some hundred meters before the Ukrainian-Slovakian border. The man traveling to the neighboring country had no any documents and explained that they were the citizens of Somali. They also reported that they intended to get to Slovakia aiming at getting asylum. Besides, border guards of BS “Kosyno” of Mukachevo Detachment detained 3 persons moving towards the border on Hungary. Two men and a woman named themselves as the citizens of Afghanistan. The violators were detected with the help of thermal imager. So far, operative and verification measures go on. The trespassers were delivered to border subdivisions to establish their personalities and prepare administrative and procedural documents. Their further destiny will be defined by the court.
