Citizen of Iraq arrived to “Boryspil” with the passport of the citizen of the USA

Border guards of separate check point “Kyiv” detained a passenger arriving from Istanbul in the airport “Boryspil”. The man presented the passport of the citizen of the USA for the control. However, the border guards detected that this document was partially falsificated. Soon, it was established that 25-year-old Syrian attempted to use false document.

The day before, border guards apprehended 29-year-old citizen of Syria with forged temporary travel document of the citizen of Germany. As the detainee explained he bought the document in his country of origin for € 2 000 to get to the countries of European Union. The violator was sent back by a return flight to the country of departure.

Again border guards detected “travelers” on the vessel under the lorries

Border guards of Odessa detachment in the check point “ Illichivsk seaport” prevented the illegal cross of the state border by the trespassers. They were detected on the vessel «Sea Partner» arrived under the flag of Panama during the detailed inspection of the lorries transported by this vessel. The service dog was the first to find the “passengers”. Carefully examining the constructive special features of the lorries, the border guards detected 8 persons, who were hiding between the back wheels of the trailers of several cars. They had no any documents, however it was learned that three of them were the citizens of Morocco, three more – citizens of Syria, and two were the citizens of Libya.

As it was explained by the very detainees, they intended to get to the countries of European Union secretly.

By the way, last week border guards detected two more such “travelers” – citizen of Palestine and citizen of Morocco. Thetravelers also hided between the back wheels, namely on the back axle of the trailer of one of the lorries.

Syrian intended to depart to Sweden with someone’s passport

Yong man with someone’s documents departing toAmsterdam was detected in the airport “Boryspil” by the border guards of separate check point “Kyiv”.

Detainee reported that he was 20-year-old citizen of Syria and he had lived on the territory of Ukraine for more than six months, however, he intended to get to the countries of European Union. He received other’s passport of the citizen of Sweden from his friend, who was the bearer of the document. Syrian contacted him with the help of the Internet and namely his friend had to meet him in the airport of arrival. The further destiny of the violator will be decided by the court.

Three citizens of Russia asked political asulym in Ukraine

On July 19, two citizens (women) from Russia arrived to the check point “Boryspil” by the flight from Moscow. During the passport control they addressed to the staff of State Border Guard Service with request to grant them refugee status. In the course of the interview the women explained that they had actively supported Ukraine in their country of origin as well as expressed their position in social networks. Fearing of political pursuit they were forced to leave RF and decided to ask asylum in Ukraine.

One more citizen of Russia had also applied with the same request on July 18. He arrived to Ukraine wearing the T-shirt with Ukrainian national symbols and informed that he was regularly beaten by unfamiliar persons in the yard of his house for participation in pro-ukrainian rallies. State Migration Service will consider the issues on status granting concerning these citizens of Russia.

729 persons arrived from the Crimea to Transcarpathia

As to July 16, 729 citizens are registered on the territory of Transcarpathian oblast, out of them 517 arrived from the eastern oblasts and 212 from the Crimea. All citizens applying to the oblast headquarter are provided with temporary housing.
In order to solve problems of social provision of displaced persons, Decree was issued by the head of Transcarpathian OSA “About organization of social provision on the territory of the oblast to the citizens of Ukraine displaced from temporarily occupied territory and regions of anti-terroristic operation.”
Program “Care” was adopted by the order of Transcarpathian Oblast Council, the action of which was spread on the citizens of Ukraine moving from the eastern oblasts. In general, 1.8 million UAH was allotted. The heads of Regional State Administrations and Municipal Executive Committees were proposed to speed up the application of funds for operative settling of the citizens arriving from temporarily occupied territories and regions of anti-terroristic operation realization. At the moment, financing of these activities is conducted, the gradual application goes on.

Minimal need in funds necessary for temporary housing of families of the citizens of Ukraine moving from temporarily occupied territories and regions of anti-terroristic operation realization to sanatorium and spa establishments, facilities and institutions of social protection comprise 3 million 386 thousand UAH.

Border guards apprehended two Syrians at the border on Slovakia

Two travelers without documents were detected in Transcarpahia by the district inspector of BS “Stuzhytsya” of Chop Detachment. They were stopped by Transcarpathian border guards nearby Ukrainian-Slovakian border reporting that they had arrived from Syria.

Just last year, Transcarpathian border guards discovered 55 cases of illegl cross of the state border. The record-holdres among the migrants were the citizens of Afghanistan.

As the border guards marked, many migrants get to Transcarpathia through Lviv oblast in order to cross the border here. Thus, border guards together with the law enforcement agents will intensify patrolling through Uzhok pass. However, often migrants are smuggled through the border by local criminal groupings. This year five such groups were disclosed.

Resident of Odessa failed to smuggle 9 Afghanis through Transcarpathia to Slovakia

SSU officers in Transcarpathian oblast disclosed and detained 29-year-old citizen of Aghanistan – resident of Odessa, who organized illegal transportation of his country fellows to the countries of EU and fled from the investigating agency. It was established that in the beginning of 2014 the foreigner planned to smuggle 9 citizes of Afghanistan through Transcarpathia to Slovakia.

First, illegal migrants arrived by the regular bus from Odessa to Chernovtsy. From there the organizer’s accomplices had to deliver illegal migrants to Velykyi Bereznyi region, Transcarpathian oblst, to border area to smuggle them beyond the check point. However, law enforcement agents detained the group of illegal migrants coming to Transcarpathia. The agents ascertained the organizer at once. In the frames of open criminal proceeding, the investigators of SSU in accordance with Article 332 Part 2 (illegal transportation of persons through the state border f Ukraine) of Crime Code of Ukraine the suspected persons was announced to search in February.

In June of the current year, SSU established the location of the organizer of illegal transportation of persons. He was hiding in Kyiv living for some period in a rented dwelling. SSU officers detained him nearby the railway station at one of capital facilities. The malefactor was delivered to investigation department of Administration of SSU in Transcarpathian oblast. He was informed about suspicion in crime commitment stipulated by Article 332 Part 2 of Crime Code of Ukraine.

Concerning the detainee imprisonment was chosen as measure of restrain. Persons involving in this activity are under establishment. Pretrial inquiry goes on.

Moldavian intended to cross the border hiding in luggage space among postings

29-year-old citizen of Moldova intending to get to Ukraine hiding among the postings was detected recently by the border guards of Chop Detachment.  In the course of border control and check of the mini bus “Mercedes” traveling to Ukraine from Italy through the check point “Tysa” border guards paid attention to nervous behavior of the driver, citizen of Ukraine. The service dog felt something in the luggage space of the vehicle. Carrying out detailed investigation of the minibus the officers of the check point detected the man hiding under the blanket. He had no any documents identifying his personality. While implementing verification activities the “traveler” introduced himself as the citizen of Moldova. Also it was learned that working abroad the man lost his passport, thus he decided to come back home. So far, all circumstances are under establishment. Criminal case is commenced against the driver as to the signs of the crime stipulated by Part 1 Article 332 of Crime Code of Ukraine “Illegal transportation of persons through the state border of Ukraine”

Russia recognizes almost all Ukrainians crossing Ukrainian-Russian border as refugees

Russian Mass Media and separate officials declare about hundreds thousand Ukrainian refugees going to Russia. However, State Border Guard Service of Ukraine informs that the general passenger flow at Ukrainian-Russian area of the border comprises 4.631 million persons, and in 2013 during the period March-June – 9.346 million). Citizens of Ukraine cross the Russian border less in 18% (March-June 2014 this area was passed and crossed by 2.922 million Ukrainians, in March-June 2013 – 3.580 million).

Citizens of Ukraine crossing the border on Russia from March to June 2014, 1.54 million persons left Ukraine and – 1.38 million persons entered. However, the indexes of Ukrainians’ departure are rather higher than ones of those entering the country – they completely correspond to the indexes of the year 2013: from March to June 1.89 million Ukrainians left Ukraine, and – 1.68 million entered the country. But just in May 2014 almost 200 thousand Ukrainians more entered Russia in comparison with the last year (2014 – 344 thousand Ukrainians, 2013– 538 thousand), in June almost in 100 thousand less (2014– 403 thousand Ukrainians, 2013 – 507 thousand).  It is also worth to remember that these are the indexes in a tourist and health resort periods during which the passenger-transport flow increases at the border.

While crossing the border Ukrainians often report that they go on vacation, on business or to visit relatives. Usually, there are those, who because of political crisis in the east of Ukraine are forced to leave their homes and depart to other regions of Ukraine, and those to Russia, as many Ukrainians have relatives and close friends in Russia.  However, during the cross of the border to Russia no citizen of Ukraine expressed their wish to get refugee status in Russia, in fact they state that will definitely return home.

Russian Mass Media and officials transfer almost all Ukrainians traveling to Russia to the category of refugees.

Traveler from Cote d’Ivoire intended to cross the border of Transcarpathia at night

Border guards of Chop Detachment detected a violator with the help of thermal imager. Unfamiliar person was in a hurry to cross Ukrainian-Slovakian border at about midnight. Border detail of BS “Uzhgorod” disturbed the plans of the traveler, who was stopped some tens meters before the state border. The traveler reported that he was from Cote d’Ivoire, but he had no documents to prove his nationality. Filtration and checking measures are undertaken as to the violator.

Reminding, on July 7, staff of SSU of Chernovtsy oblast and border guards of Zhytomyr Detachment detained 9 illegal migrants in the area of BS “Kopysche” in the course of joint actions. These were 3 citizens of Sudan, 2 from Vietnam, 2 from Eritrea and 2 from Bangladesh.
