The government of Ukraine deported 14 Georgians, handing the “guests” into the ferry “Grayswald” departing to Poti from the seaport of Ilichevsk nearby Odessa  …

Before, these citizens of Georgia were detained in Transcarpathia during the attempt of illegal cross of the border to Slovakia, and then to Austria.

Altogether, since the beginning of the current year Ukrainian border guards deported about 4.5 thousand migrants, of them about 400 persons were the citizens of Georgia.

Transcarpathian law enforcement agents together with the staff of Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment conduct a joint operative and preventive operation “October-2014” these days.

The aim of this operation is to counteract the smuggling of the illegal migrants through the state border of Ukraine.

The policemen of State Traffic Patrol in Nyzhni Vorota, Transcarpathian region together with the staff of Special Investigative Techniques Department of Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment and agents of the Police Fight Human Trafficking Department apprehended two illegal migrants from the far Vietnam.

They were delivered to Transcarpathia by the car driven by Lviv cabman. Later on, the local dealer intended to take these migrants from Asia over the state border of Ukraine to the Western Europe.

SSU of Transcarpathian region liquidated the channel of illegal transportation of persons through the state border…

It was established that the criminal grouping consisted of the resident of Ivano-Frankisvk and two inhabitants of Transcarpathia.

The violators made forgeries of the documents and provided the migrants with clear instruction concerning the border cross.

On October 18, the staff of SSU in Ivano-Frankivks region made two operations stopping the illegal cross of the state border of Ukraine.

Two citizens of Ukraine were apprehended at the border post “Uzhgorod” – the executors of the false documents and a violator returning from the border area with forged passport.

At the same time, in Berehovo, Transcarpathian region the law enforcement agent detained the resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region – the third member of the criminal grouping.

After the searches made at the place of the suspected persons, a great amount of forms of birth and marriage certificates, passports of the citizens of Ukraine, Ukrainian passports for travelling abroad, a sufficient quantity of the form of various state establishments were found.

On October 20, SSU investigators suspected the violators in crime commitment stipulated by Part 2 Article 332 of Crime Code of Ukraine. The degree of guilty concerning each violator will be defined by the court.

In the frames of activities aimed on counteraction to illegal migration, border guards of Chop Detachment detected illegal migrants from Asia last weekend.

The man and two children – 6-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy were stopped by the law enforcement agents in the area of BS “Uzhgorod”. According to the words of the man, he and his children, who, by the way, were dressed in light clothes, were the migrants from Iran. No document was presented, however, he mentioned that they made their way to Slovakia, and from there they intended to get to Austria. The route through the border had been planned already in Iran by means of the Internet.

The border guards delivered the violators to the subdivision. In a result of medical examination it was established that the health state of the father and his children is satisfactory. So far, their personalities are under establishment. The further destiny of the detainees will be defined by the court.

In the frames of operative and preventive actions, border guards together with the officers of Safety Road Inspection stopped the car of Slovakian registration in the suburb of the village Rozivka.  Four citizens of Afghanistan without any documents were found inside the car. The driver was the citizen of Ukraine – resident of Mukachevo town.

According to the words of the detainees they intended to get to Hungary. Documents were proceeded against the driver as to the signs of violation stipulated by the Article 332 of Crime Code of Ukraine “Illegal transportation of persons through the state border of Ukraine”.

Regional representative of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, Oldrikh Andrysek made his visit to Transcarpathia.

On October 14, O.Andrysek met with the Director General of State Migration Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian oblast, Igor Mykhailyshyn.

The participants of the meeting were also the vice-chief of SMS in the region Aleksandr Berdar, head of Refugees and Stateless Persons Department Yuriy Markovskyi, director of Temporary Accommodation Centre Luka Fedurtsya and director of International Fund of Health Care and Environment “Carpathian Region” (NEEKA) Albert Pirchak.

O.Andrysek has marked that Transcarpathia is among the leaders in adaptation processes concerning persons who are in the procedure of refugee status determination or persons in need of subsidiary protection. Thus, since the beginning of the year, 76 asylum seekers have applied with the corresponding applications to the subdivision of the Migration Service of the region Regional representative of UNHCR marked the high level of the staff of the Service engaged in the work with this vulnerable group of persons. He also expressed his hope not to lose his positions and TAC in the area. It was said about the social and living conditions of the center’s residents, realization of educational programs.

At the present moment, 59 refugee and 70 persons in need of subsidiary protection are registered in Migration Service of Transcarpathia.

On execution of the order of the President of Ukraine concerning the counteraction strengthening to illegal migration, the staff of State Border Guard Service has conducted a series of operations in the course of the last days that aimed at detection of the channels of illegal migration in the main directions of the western and eastern areas of the border.

After well-planned and conducted actions by the staff of SBGSU, it was managed to find out the violators being directly engaged in smuggling persons to the countries of European Union.

Thus, the border guards of BS “Rava-Ruska”, Lviv Detachment detected 3 citizens of Lebanon in the suburb of the village Richky in the evening. The men made their way towards the border by the car, however they were apprehended together with the driver by the reaction group.

Also, border guards of BS “Krasnoilsk”, Chernivtsi Detachment detained two men introducing themselves as the citizens of Syria 100 m before the state border in the evening. The “travelers” did not have any documents. So far, their personalities and circumstances of their arrival to the place are established. Two more citizens of Syria were apprehended by the border guards of BS “Uzhgorod”, Chop Detachment some meters before the state border on Slovakia some days before.

Altogether, since the beginning of the year the staff of SBGSU detained 1909 illegal migrants. Of them 636 were apprehended for the cross of the state border.

Last night, Transcarpathian border guards detained two illegal migrants in the course of realization of special actions on the counteraction to illegal migration.

In the first case, the border guards of BS “Uzhgorod” received information beforehand about the movement of the unfamiliar person towards Ukrainian-Slovakian border.

Then, by forces of the operative group one man was apprehended 150 m before the border. He introduced himself as the citizen of Armenia, however, he had no any documents.

The traveler explained that using the Internet he planned his route to Germany illegally crossing the state border nearby the town of Uzhgorod.

Some hours later, the citizen of Syria was also detained. He was apprehended 500 m before the border line. According to his explanation, it was learned that he wanted to get to Germany in illegal way as well and for making the route from Ukraine to Slovakia he used the Internet service Google maps.

The violators were delivered to subdivision for identification of their personality. Decision on responsibility before the law and their further destiny will be defined by the court.

Three citizens of Afghanistan hiding in the lorry and trying to get to Ukraine were apprehended in the check point “Porubne” by the border guards of Chernivtsi Detachment. The border guards detected the “travelers” among the load during the border-customs registration of the car «Mercedes» transporting solid fuel boilers from Bulgaria to Ukraine. The detainees did not have any identification documents, but according to their words they were the citizens of Afghanistan. The detained persons were delivered to Temporary Detention Centre at the Border Detachment. So far, actions are undertaken to identify the persons.

Last weekend due to the received information in time, border guards of BS “Uzhgorod” managed to stop the next attempt of the illegal cross of the state border.

In a result of conducting the qualified actions on the search of the violators, two illegal migrants were apprehended in the suburb of the regional centre, traveling to EU beyond the check point. The trespassers leaving to reach two hundred meters to the cherished border on Slovakia explained to the border guards that they were the citizens of Syria, however, they had no any documents to prove it.

The service Google maps was named as their guide. Belgium was their point of destination.

Aiming at processing administrative and procedural documents, the violators were delivered to the subdivision. Decision on responsibility before the law and their further destiny will be defined by the court.

It will be recalled that last week, the border guards of Chop Detachment detained two citizens of Georgia, who were also planning to cross Ukrainian-Slovakian border with the help of the Internet service Google maps.
