State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues to take a complex of measures to counteract the illegal activity at the state border.

Special operations are realized along the whole area of the border involving the power agencies not only of our country as well as of the neighboring ones.

One of them is “Border-2015”, the main aim of which is to fight against illegal migration. Decreasing the level of unlawful activity should be the result of operation which is connected with organization of channel of illegal migrants’ transportation and improve the cooperation at the intra-departmental, intra-agency and international levels in the sphere of counteraction to illegal migration.

In the frames of this operation border guards of BS “Luzhanka” of Mukacevo Detachment detected and detained 5 citizens of Iraq and 1 from Iran the day before. The reaction group arrested the violators moving towards the border on Hungary 3 km before the state border.

Now, the border guards conduct the verification actions as to the violators and searches of the persons involved in assistance to foreigners’ trip.

One more violator was apprehended nearby the border on Poland at the bank of the river the Western Buh by the border guards of BS “Rovno” of Lutsk Detachment. The man had no any documents being previously established as the citizen of South-Eastern Asia.

In the framework of operation “Border – 2015” two citizens of Morocco were detected in Uzhgorod, –  it was reported in the Transportation System Department of Transcarpathian region.

Two Moroccan citizens were detected in the regular bus “Lviv – Uzhgorod” in a result of investigation conducted by the employees HD of SMS together with border guards

When checking documents it was discovered that the men did not have any permission to stay and reside on the territory of Ukraine.

Among the documents identifying the personality there was only driver’s license with a photo of the European sample. The foreigners indicated that a car purchase to be their purpose of the visit to Transcarpathia.

Violating the rules of stay in Ukraine, Moroccan citizens were called to administrative responsibility.

Joint border operation “Border – 2015” has been held since 22 June to 31 August. The aim of the target preventive measures is to prevent and counter illegal immigration and other violations of Ukrainian legislation in the sphere of ​​migration as well as to bring the violators to responsibility in accordance with the laws of Ukraine

Three trespassers were apprehended in the approaches to the border by the border guards of Chop Detachment on the territory of Transcarpathian region.

Two citizens of Vietnam were stopped 300 m before the border by the officers of BS “Velykyi Bereznyi”.  Reaction group of BS “Uzhgorod” started to detention by message received from Slovakian border guards, who apprehended the citizen of Georgia nearby the border sign.

Now, verification measures are taken as to the violators without documents.

Border guards apprehended 15 persons at Ukrainian-Hungarian border crossing the border on the territory of Transcarpathian in illegal way.

Ten persons without documents were detained by the border guards of BS “Kosyno” of Mukachevo Detachment 100 m before the border on Ukraine. There were 5 citizens Afghanistan, 4 – Sri Lanka and 1 – from Bangladesh. Besides, Hungarian border detected 5 more persons illegally crossing the border. The migrants were preliminary established as the citizens of Pakistan. There were 2 men, a woman and two children among the detainees.

Big group of illegal migrants was apprehended by the staff of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and Hungarian border guards in a result of operative information exchange in the frames of joint operation realization “Border-2015”.

Ten persons without documents were detained in the evening by the border guards of BS “Kosyno” of Mukachevo Detachment 100 m before the Hungarian border. There were 5 citizens from Afghanistan, 4 – Sri Lanka and 1 – Bangladesh.

Information about group of people movement similar to illegal migrants was provided by the inhabitant of the village Popovo, Berehovo region.

In total, 652 illegal migrants have been detected since the beginning of the operation “Border-2015”, 46 of them were children.

The staff of Sate Border Guard Service and other law enforcement agents of the neighboring countries continue counteract to illegal migration at the state border. Thus, at night Hungarian border guards reported about their observance of the area by means of thermal imager fixing the movement of two unfamiliar persons nearby the border.

The reaction group of BS “Luzhanka” of Mukachevo Detachment started immediately to the possible direction of the unfamiliar persons’ movement and already in 20 minutes detained two men without documents introduced themselves as Somalis.

So far, verification measures are performed regarding the detainees as well as the search of the persons who probably assisted the citizens of Somalia in this night trip.

The staff of the BS “Vilok”, Mukachevo Detachment in the frames of actions of joint border operation detained 11 persons from Afghanistan 700 m before the state border. The detainees are delivered to Border Subdivision to undergo the preparation of administrative and procedural documents and performance of filtration-verification measures. Now, the detainees are arrested and kept in the Temporary Detention Centre.

Detention of 11 illegal migrants was conducted in a close cooperation with Hungarian Border Police which by assistance of stationary thermal imager provided the Ukrainian border guards with the preliminary information about movement of illegal migrants.

In Transcarpathia the actions on detection and detention of illegal migrants continue in the frames of operation “Border-2015”.

Border guards of BS “Porubne” of Chernovtsy Detachment detained 3 citizens of Egypt moving towards the state border on Romania, they were stopped nearby the village Terebleche, Glybotskyi region.

The men were without documents and introduced themselves as the citizens of Egypt reporting as if they arrived to Ukraine to enter the Medical University, but they failed the entrance company.

Besides, the border guards of Mukachevo Detachment apprehended a citizen of Eritrea in Transcarpathia traveling beyond the check point to Hungary. Border detail of BS “Kosyno” detected the violators from the observing tower by means of watch facilities. The reaction group caught up and stopped the travelers 40 m before the state border.

The passenger with forged document travelling by transit flight to Germany was detected in the Separate Check Point “Kyiv” in the airport Boryspil. The violator having pages with constituent data replaced in the passport of the citizen of Great Britain, in fact was the citizens of other country. During the realization of filtration actions and luggage inspection a real passport was found – of the citizen of Afghanistan. Soon, the Afghan man will be sent by a return flight.

During the inspection of the documents the border guards of Odessa Detachment detected the citizen of Cameroon with a false Ukrainian residence certificate and sign in the passport document proving it in the check point “Odessa-air”. The documents of the violator were handed to the staff of Malinovskyi MOI in Odessa.

Border guards of BS “Vilok” detained two citizens of Georgia for attempt to cross the state border. The migrants aimed at getting to the countries of Western Europe, namely to Poland, however, when following to the state border the citizens of Georgia were detained by the border detail at the control post. As it usually happens in such cases, the detainees had no any documents and introduced to the border guards as the citizens of Georgia.

The border guards delivered violators to Border Subdivision to identify the persons, establish the circumstances of the infringement and prepare administrative and procedural documents.

Regarding the detainees, previously attempt to cross the state border of Ukraine in any way beyond the check points without any corresponding documents or without any permission of appropriate authorities is qualified.

The final decision on responsibility before the law will be defined by the court.
