The staff of Border Guard Department revealed 6 foreigners at Ukrainian-Polish border, who intended to cross the state border in illegal way. Thus, the border guards of BD “Krakovets” received a call from a local resident seeing two unfamiliar persons in the suburb of the village. Soon, border guards of Mostytskyi Detachment detained 2 citizens of Morocco, YOB 1997, 400 m before the border. As it was established soon, they went to Poland on foot.
In addition, the border guards of BD “Verkhovyna Bystra”, Chop Detachment, apprehended 4 “travelers” from Bangladesh. They traveled to the neighboring country by the train “Uzhgorod-Syanki” without any corresponding documents. The foreigners were detained for circumstances establishments, the protocols on administrative infringement were drawn up provided for the Part 2 Article 204-1 of AICU.

At night, the border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment detained four illegal migrants from India in the frames of special operation Border-2017. The men moving towards the neighboring country were revealed by the night vision device by the border detail of BD “Velyka Palad”. Realizing that they were exposed, illegal migrants tried to escape. In order to hold them back, the law enforcers had to make several warning shots up. Soon, at a distance of 70 meters before the state border, four men, aged 22 – 41, were detained. Detainees had no any documents. The travelers reported that they were citizens of India and intended to cross illegally the border on Hungary aiming at further improvement of their living conditions in one of the EU countries. The detainees were taken to the Border Unit. Currently, filtering and verification measures are undertaken; all the circumstances of the event are established. For an attempt to violate the state border the protocols were drawn up as to the detainees as on the administrative infringement, the case will be forwarded to the court.
The border guards of the Mostytskyi and Summy Border Detachments found foreign trespassers, who intended to cross illegally the state border. In Lviv region, the staff of Border Department received information from the local residents about the movement of unknown persons near the Ukrainian-Polish border. For verification of information, the border guards of the BD “Shegeni” immediately started for searches. Soon, two Turkish citizens were found without documents at the border 1000 meters before neighboring Poland. They were moving towards the neighboring country in order to cross illegally of the state border. And the border detail of the BD “Seredina-Buda”, Summy Detachment, not far from the Ukrainian-Russian border, revealed a Moldovan citizen who also intended to illegally cross the border. The offender is currently detained. The protocols were drawn up as to the foreigners on bringing them to administrative liability under the Part 1 and Part 2 Article. 204-1 of AICU. The cases are forwarded to the court.
At night, the border guards of the separate checkpoint “Kyiv” at the airport “Kyiv” detected the forged passports belonging to two foreigners, which contained border crossing marks not conforming to the established pattern. The citizens of Turkey traveled to Kiev-Memmingen (Germany). When checking their passports, the inspector of the State Border Guard Service found the non-conformity of the marks on the border crossing of the established sample. In addition, German visa labels in the documents of the foreigners had been identified as stolen. The staff of National Police was informed on this point.
The border guards of Separate Check Point “Kyiv” revealed partially forged passport document. 54-year-old citizen of Turkey (by document data) attempted to use it. The man arrived by the flight “Batumi-Kyiv”. During border control the inspector noticed the sigs of partial forgery in the foreign passport. The border guard saw the replacement of the page with constituent data. Currently, the person is not identified as the foreigner did not have any other documents. Soon, the person will be returned by a back flight.
Two illegal migrants trying to get over the border to Hungary to reach the European Union were apprehended in the evening by the border guards of Mukachevo detachment. When patrolling the border detail noticed two men attempting to overcome the barrage fence. The border guards detained unknown persons 40 m before the border. The men had passport of the citizens of Turkey. The foreigners were delivered to Border Department “Vilok” in order to draw up administrative protocols and perform filtration measures. The actions on establishment of persons’ circle involved in the organization of illegal migrant’s trip still continue. The legal evaluation of the illegal migrants’ actions will be performed by the court.
The district inspector of Border Guard Service “Krakivets”, Mostytskyi Detachment received information about appearance of an unknown person in the suburb of the village of Glyntsi. The foreigner was traveling towards the state border. He left some kilometers to reach the state border. However, the reaction of the border guards was amazing. The reaction group needed some minutes to find and catch the traveler. Detainee was the citizen of Moldova, 1983 YOB. The border guards drew up administrative-procedural documents as to Art 204-1 of AICU “Illegal cross or attempt to cross the state border of Ukraine”
The staff of State Border Guard Service detained two illegal migrants near the Ukrainian-Polish border in the frames of the joint special border operation “Border-2017”. Information about unknown persons of non-Slavic appearance being in the suburb of the settlement Borovets border guards received from local residents. During the information verification, the border guards of BD “Rava-Ruska”, Lviv Detachment, apprehended two men without documents near the border. According to the detainees’ words, it was managed to establish that they were Turkish citizens and intended to enter the EU countries in illegal way. The border guards took detained citizens to the border detachment in order to clarify the circumstances of the offense, provided for in the Part 2 Article 204-1 “Illegal cross or attempt to cross illegally the state border of Ukraine”, and to draft administrative materials.
Four illegal migrants were apprehended by the border guards of Chop Detachment in the frames of joint special operation “Border-2017”. Information about the possible occurrence of a group of illegal migrants near the state border was received by the law enforcers in advance from the operation agents of the State Border Guard Service. Therefore, the measures on border protection were reinforced and additional details were sent to the area. Soon, a joint interdepartmental group of border guards of the Chop Detachment, operatives from the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service and officers of the National Police on the stopped the car in the suburb of Perechyn town. The resident of Mukachevo attempted to transport two citizens of Syria and two citizens of Algeria to the border.
Four illegal migrants were apprehended in Transcarpathia. A group of persons appeared nearby the village of Popovov and made their way towards state border, which was then apprehended by the border detail of BD “Kosyno, Mukachevo detachment. Reaction group and power support from operative department started immediately to the place. In a result of joint searching actions the service men detained 4 men without document, according to their words citizens of India, 500 meters before the border. The trespassers were delivered to Border Department for drawing up procedural documents. They will be placed to Temporary Detention Centre.
