Close cooperation of State Border Guard Service with the border guards of neighboring countries bordering on Ukraine continues to bring positive results. Thus, 2 violators of the border were caught in a result of efficient interaction between border guards of Ukraine and Slovakia. When border guards of BD “Uzhgorod”, Chop Detachment patrolled the border area, an alarm device operated and unknown persons were noticed in the direction of Ukrainian-Slovakian border. Ukrainian law enforcers informed Slovakian border guards immediatedly and as a result in the course of searching actions and information exchange two persons were apprehended once they passed the border. Soon, it was established that night “travelers” arrived from Mongolia. It is worth noting that appearance of illegal migrants from Mongolia, which is practically was not fixed recently, may point to the fatc that the organizers intended to adjust the illegal migrants transportation channel from this country. However, in a result of joint actions conducted by Ukrainian and Slovakian border guards, their intent to reach EU failed.

Generally, during the year 2016 about 10 illegal migrants were apprehended – citizens of Mongolia trying to cross the state border in illegal way.

State Border Guard Service of Ukraine performing its tasks on state border protection continues to cooperate closely with the border guards of the countries bordering on Ukraine.
Thus, as a result of such cooperation and effective interaction Ukrainian border guards together with Polish ones detained four border violators.
At first the border guards found alarm unit operated in Mostyskyi Detachment. Without wasting time, the border guards of BD “Krakovets” reported Polish border guards serving in front of this border area. Soon, during an implementation of joint searching activities and information exchange, the officers detected 4 persons introducing themselves to be the citizens of India.
So far, filtration-verification measures are continued as to the violators and establishment of the circumstances on illegal border crossing.

Border guards of Lutsk Detachment detained two foreigners who followed in Poland in the international checkpoint “Yagodyn-railway station”. It turned out that in order to cross the border they planned to use fake and someone’s passports.

The violators were caught at night at the time of check in to the train “Kyiv – Warsaw”. Border guards suspected one of the passengers as to his pasport belonging. In a result of document in-depth study border guards found that dark-skinned woman who later introduced as a citizen of the Republic of Mali, tried to leave the Ukraine by German foreign passport. Another traveler, a Turkish national, who followed in a nearby car, tried to cross the border using partially fake passports with information page replaced.

So far, the circumstances are verified, the travelers are expected to bear administrative responsibility for attempt to cross the state border in illegal way and for knowingly use of forged documents.

The staff SBCP “Kyiv” of State Border Guard Service found four fake passports of citizens of Turkey during the border control in the Boryspil Airport.
The couple with two young children traveled by from Tehran and had to get a flight “Kyiv-Minsk”. According to parents words, a couple had to receive the other packet of forged documents in Belarus for further travel to Switzerland.
However, they failed to fly with forged documents in Ukraine. The falsification signs were noticed immediately in the course of the passport check. Iformation pages were replaced inall four documents for traveling abroad.

The staff of BD “Syanky” guarding the part of mountain area of the state border on Poland at the boundary of Lviv and Transcarpathia  regions, in the course of implementation of special operative actions, received information about the group of unfamiliar persons within the border area. In particular, the local residents of one of the border villages informed the district inspector about appearance of Asian citizens, probably illegal immigrants. Border guards immediately sent a reaction  group to perform verification and enaged stand-by forces for their search.

After a while, border patrol discovered and detained seven men not far from the state border, according to their words, citizens of the the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. There were no documents identifying the citizens, the the travelers had only stuff and food for further crossing of the border.

Currently, the detainees are taken to the border department, materials on administrative infringememnt are composed regarding the attempt of Ukrainian state border’s illegal break.
Also measures are taken to establish persons involved in the smuggling of illegal migrants across the border. The decision on the foreigners’ case will be made by the court.

Upon the order of the President of Ukraine, State Border Service of Ukraine actively develops cooperation with the Police of neighboring countries bordering Ukraine. First of all actions are focused on violations prevention of border legislation. The next result of cooperation was between Ukrainian border guards and foreign collegues during the joint detention of two Georgian citizens. First, the border patrol of BD “Velykyi Bereznyi”, Chop Detachment, found tracks of two unknown persons at the barrage fence nearby the state border. Cooperation was organized immediately with Slovakian border guard. In order to prevent border violations, further verification was carried out by the joint border detail. Soon, in a result of perfomed actions by the Ukrainian and Slovakian border guards in this area two Georgian citizens were detained, who tried to get into the EU.
Currently, further verification actions continue.

Border guards of Airport Boryspil did not pass a citizen of Iran, who attempted to cross the state border of Ukraine by means of forged document of Israil citizen. While passengers of the flight “Istanbul-Kyiv” checked in, the staff of State Border Guard service revealed the signs of forgeries in the Israeli passport document, namely replaced pages with constituent data. During interview it was established that the foreigner had his valid passport of the citizen of Iran and Certificate for Permanent Residence in Ukraine. He paid $10 000 for the service of forged passport issue and receipt. The border guards informed the representatives of National Police as to the established fact of violation and to whom the foreigner was handed over.

The citizen of Turkey was detained by the border guards of Chop Detachment in Transcarpathian region some metres before the state border. the violator was managed to detect by the help of local residents, who seeing a foreigner in border area coming out of the car and traveled towards the border. the servicemen of Border Guard service “Palad-Komarivtsi” detained the violator, when he attempted to overcome the barrage fence. 36-year-old citizen of Turkey reported that he as if did not planed to get to Slovakia beyond the check point, and arrived to Transcarpathia with a tourist aim. Upon drafting corresponding procedural documents, the foreigner was delivered to Chop Temporary Detention Centre. His further destiny will be determined by the court.

State Border Service of Ukraine actively uses the latest hardware in protection of the state border. Thus, when checking the border line, the guards of  Podilskyi Detachment by means of quadcopter «Phantom» found an unknown person, who tried to illegally cross the border. Immediately the border patrol arrived to the place and detained the violator. 37-year-old citizen of Moldova was detected, who, in this way, planned to return home. Administrative documents were prepared regarding the violator.
It should be noted that this is not the first case, when border guards apprehend trespasser using remotely piloted air systems. Only in 2016 25 such cases were fixed in the area of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service.

Two foreigners, jumping into the cargo train underway, were noticed and detained in Lviv region by the border guards of Mostytskyi Detachment. During the service performance in the check point “Mostyska-Railway Station”, border guards revealed two person indenting to get into the cargo train unnoticed. Unknown person overcoming the barrage fence jumped into the train underway, which made its way to Poland upon control procedures completion. The train was stopped by military men. A citizen of Azerbaijan, 30 years old, and a citizen of Turkey, 24, were found in one car. As it was established, the foreigners arrived to Ukraine in an established order, and then they decided to get to EU countries avoiding all types of border control. Protocol on attempt to cross the state border was drawn as to Part 2 Article 204-1 of Administrative Infringement Code of Ukraine with regard to the violators. The persons are apprehended in order to establish the circumstances of the infringement and are placed to Temporary detention Centre.
