State Border Guard Service in Transcarpathia together with other law enforcement agents and Border Departments of EU countries continue the complex of actions on counteraction to illegal migration in the frames of operation “Border-2015”.

In the course of operative searches border guards of BS “Kosyno” of Mukachevo Detachment detained three citizens of Syria intending to get to EU in illegal way.

One more group of unfamiliar persons were noticed by the border guards of the same detachment at a sufficient distance from the observing tower by means of the thermal imager, and informed the Hungarian border guards on this point.

Soon due to provided information the Hungarian border guards apprehended some more illegal migrants on its territory.

In the morning continuing the searches of the trespassers in the direction of Ukrainian-Hungarian border, Ukrainian border guards detained one more group of Africans. They also travelled to Hungary.

Four detainees were the natives of Republic of Chad, one – from Sudan.

As to the statements of local Mass Media, the buses are now redirected towards Croatia, form where the migrants plan to get Germany through Slovenia and Austria, it is reported by BBC.

Migrants intending to get to Germany have found a way beyond Hungary, its authorities set a barrier along Serbia with a barbed wire. Hundreds of migrants spent night at the closed Hungarian-Serbian border. People had to collect firewood to get the fire going.

It will be recalled that on Monday a new migration law came into force allowing to arrest illegal migrants arriving to the country in illegal way. Besides, police closed the railroad crossing being used to enter Hungary to ten thousand persons.

Thereof, today Austria has introduced a border control at its southern and eastern borders. Thus, the country tries to manage with growing inflow of migrants, who during some days has been strengthened again after measures taken by Hungary. The control is renewed at the borders on Hungary, Italy, Slovenia and Slovakia.

As it was mentioned by the Minister of Interior of Austria Johan Mikl-Laitener, Vienna will behave in this situation “by example of Germany”. The control intensity at the border will be kept at that level required to enable security”, – it was said in the letter of Austrian authorities directed to Brussels.

Also, the Austrian Minister marked on the air of ORF TV channel that migrants will not be returned back to Hungary. According to her words, for now “no one will be sent back” considering the situation in Hungary. Germany will not return refugees to Austria as well. “It was an agreement”, – she said.

Two citizens of Ukraine and one from Republic of Moldova were apprehended by the border guards of Chop Detachment.

Moldavian was detained in the area of BS “Uzhgorod” during the joint patrolling of Ukrainian-Slovakian border in the distance of 300 m before the border line.

The border guards followed in the tracks of two Ukrainians not far from the village of Velykyi Bereznyi, who intended to escape to Slovakia. Local inhabitants reported about the unfamiliar persons to the border guards.

Seeing the pursuers, the violators intended to run and only the warning shot up stopped them.

Surprisingly, all detainees had document and confessed in their intention to leave the territory of Ukraine beyond the check point.

The law enforcement agents in Transcarpathia organizes a secret-service network in Transcarpathia including local residents to fight against the possible flow of migrant from the countries of the Northern Africa and Nearer East to Ukraine.

It was mentioned by the expert on migration Omar Uzarashvili.

“Temporary point will be installed at the border, control to be reinforced and cooperation with local inhabitants will be established. Before, every third person informed the border guards, so now every second will act in this way. No walls or barbed wires will be placed – it is prohibited by the requirements to enter EU. The secret service of local residents is the most reliable method”, — Uzarashvilli tells.

The associate director of State Border Guard Service Oleg Slobodyan has confirmed this: “But we will not idealize the situation – half of the inhabitants assist us, and the half helps illegal migrants”, — Slobodyan marked.

Besides, scanners to X-ray the shipment are promptly delivered from Odessa as they are in need namely in Transcarpathia.

As a rule, illegal migrants are coming to our country on foot through woods or they are transported in the narrow buses to border rivers, make get out and they ford a river or by swim here. However, there are other ways.

“For example, the citizens of Syria under the pretence of the students conclude the agreements with the universities of other countries, and go to Europe. Or they make Armenian passports, as there is a big Diaspora of Armenians in Syria, and arrive to Ukraine, where they stay at the flats and then move towards the required border”, — Slobodyan reports.

Some groups of illegal migrants were apprehended in the evening by the military men of State Border Guard Service in Transcarpathian in the frames of joint actions on counteraction to illegal migration conducted together with the neighboring countries.

Group of 6 persons was detected due to message received from Hungarian colleagues. The border detail in the course of the search activities discovered them by means of the service dog in the area of responsibility of BS “Kosyno” of Mukachevo Detachment. All detained persons reported that they arrived from Afghanistan, and planned to get to Central Europe through Ukraine.

One more group of 5 persons being detained by the border guards of BS “Vilok” of the same detachment in the suburb of the village Velyka Palad, also arrived from Afghanistan.

In both cases migrants were delivered to border subdivision to prepare administrative and procedural documents.

Filtration measures are conducted to identify them and ways of entering Ukraine.

Their further destiny will be defined by the court.

The measures on reducing the level of unlawful activity continue, including that connected with illegal movement of the illegal migrants through the state border of Ukraine in Transcarpathia.

Only during the last day, the border guards detained 5 illegal migrants from Syria and 1 citizen from Iraq in the area of BS “Luzhanka” of Mukachevo Detachment. The trespassers were noticed at night time by means of thermal imager.

The reaction group of the Mobile Border Detachment started two times. First, two citizens of Syria – a man and a woman – were apprehended in the approaches to the border on Hungary.

Later on, 3 citizens of Syria and one from Iraq were detected 450 m before the state border in the course of searching operation. All detainees had no any documents.

In total, there are 124 citizens of Syrian being detained since the beginning of the current year by the officers of State Border Guard Service.

Ukrainian, Slovakian and Hungarian border guards detained 13 illegal migrants for some hours in the frames of joint operation.

Slovakian colleagues informed the border guards of BS “V.Bereznyi” about the movement of unfamiliar persons. The reaction group selecting the place of possible stay of the violators detained 11 persons, who were moving beyond check point in the course of conducted searches.

Out of detainees – 8 persons introduced as citizens of Vietnam and 3 – from Bangladesh.

Besides, in the frames of operation Ukrainian border guards together with the Hungarian colleagues detected 2 citizens of Syria.

Border guards of Mukachevo Detachment detained the violators without documents 50 m before the border line on Hungary.

Now, all the detainees are delivered to Temporary Detention Centre.

Their further destiny will be defined by the court. Besides, MOI, SSU and Free Secondary Legal Aid Centre in Transcarpathian region were informed about this detention.

The staff of Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region has disclosed inter-regional criminal grouping engaged in illegal migrants’ smuggling through Ukrainian border to the countries of European Union.

“In the frames of the conducted special operation in Denepropetrovsk the organizer of the grouping was arrested – citizen of one of Middle Eastern countries. The malefactor together with accomplices – country fellows and citizens of Ukraine – looked for the persons interested in illegal crossing of the state border. Then, the migrants were transported to the border areas of Transcarpathian region and were taken abroad to EU countries,” – it was reported by the Special Service.

Pre-trial actions are conducted by the investigators.

SSU has reported that 18 crimes connected with illegal migrants’ transportation through the border were revealed. Eight offenders were imprisoned as to these cases in two criminal processes.

It will be recalled that the board of European Commission is going to announce about the concrete plans aimed at solving the migration crisis in Europe being the worst since the Second World War. The head of European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker shall name the quota size to distribute 120 000 migrants among the member-states of European Union.

During the lasts months Europe has faced the flow of migrants not known before from the countries of the Nearer East, Africa and Asia covered by conflicts. UNHCR announced that during Monday about 7 000 persons arrived to Macedonia and 30 000 to Greek islands.

Yet, about 400 000 migrant will arrive to Hungary till the end of the next week – it was warned by the director of the unit of UNO Refugee Department Vincent Kochetel. The government of the country and UNO have involved an additional staff and court to solve the problems.

Meanwhile, UNHCR pays attention to a growing scale of the problem publishing new information testifying that according to the updated forecast 400 000 refugees are coming in 2015, and 450 000 more in 2016.

By request of Public Prosecutor’s Office of Transcarpathian region, the court imprisoned the citizen of Pakistan being suspected in organization of illegal transportation of persons through the state border of Ukraine (Part 2 Article 332 of Crime Code of Ukraine).

The foreigner is suspected in a preliminary deal with three Transcarpathian inhabitants, he organized and realized the control of illegal transportation of illegal migrants to the territory of Slovakian Republic – three citizens of Afghanistan and one from Pakistan.

The indictments regarding two other companions in crime have already been sent to the court, where the court investigation goes on.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues to take a series of measures to counteract the criminal phenomena at the state border, including in the fight against illegal migration.

The border guards detained two people without documents 100 meters before the state border in the area of responsibility of BS “Luzhanka”, Mukachevo Detachment. The detainees reported that they were the nationals of Syria and they planned to enter the countries of Central Europe through Hungary. So far, the violators are delivered to the Department of Border Service. The court will make a decision as to their destiny.
