Two Armenians traveled to Paris transcending the Carpathian mountains

In the frames of actions realized on counteraction to illegal migration, border guards of Chop Detachment detained two migrants from Caucasian region. Two men of 1957 and 1981 year of birth attempted to get to Slovakia illegally beyond the check point. However, they were detained 400 m before Ukrainian-Slovakia border line by the military men of BS “Uzhgorod”. At the place of detention, unknown persons mentioned that they originated from Armenia and they did not have any identification documents.

During the verification actions border guards established that detained persons arrived to Ukraine by legal way. However, as the very men informed Ukraine was transit for them as their point of destination had to be France.

The violators were delivered to subdivision to identify their personalities, to clarify the circumstances of the infringement and to process administrative and procedural documents. Decision on responsibility and their further destiny will be defined by the court.

Four Azerbaijanis, two Russians and Tajik tried to cross the border with false documents

Three trespassers trying to get to Ukraine from Russia were detained by the border guards of Kharkiv Detachment. The violators were stopped by law enforcement officers at the checkpoint “Kharkiv – railway station”. It was found that the passengers travelling from Russian city of Belgorod, had the passport of the citizen of Russia with glued photos and missing security features. The documents of Azerbaijani citizen and a citizen of Tajikistan, travelled from Moscow to Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv, contained false signs of Border Department. Another one Azerbaijani with forged sign of Border Department, intending to get through Ukraine to Moldova, was detected at checkpoint “Khutir Mykhailivskyi”. However, false date stamp were noticed by military servicemen of Sumy Detachment. Also false signs of SBGS were discovered at the airport “Boryspil” in the documents of two citizens of Azerbaijan. One of Azerbaijanis, making his route from Tbilisi, will be sent by return flight, the other one will be handed to police officers.

In addition, Russian had a passport of the citizen of Bulgaria. A page had been replaced with constituent data of the bearer in the document, with which he wanted to fly to the United Arab Emirates. The resident of Moscow, who later gave his real passport, was handed to law enforcement agents.

Two citizens of Sevastopol asked for asylum in Poland

Two citizens of Ukraine addressed to the border guards in the check point “Shegeni” at Ukrainian-Polish border, Russians by nationality, residing in Sevastopol and had confirming documents – national passports with registration. They asked Ukrainian border guards to assist in granting political asylum on the territory of Republic of Poland. All data as to man and woman, 1981 and1985 year of birth, were passed to Polish side immediately. In the course of oral interview with the citizens of Ukraine, which did not get agreement with aggression of Russia, they mentioned that measures of moral and physical influence were applied to them. Consequently, they had to leave the city, where they were born and resided.

Five travelers from “the east” failed to overcome the Carpathians

Border guards of Chop Detachment detained 5 illegal migrants from “the east”. Four persons moving towards Ukrainian-Slovakian border were apprehended by the border detail of “Velykyi Bereznyi” at the approaches to the state board. Detainees explained that no documents they had and introduced themselves as the citizens of Afghanistan. Soon, the law enforcement agents learned that the man and woman (spouses) had already been detained for attempt to cross the border on Slovakia near Uzhgorod illegally. The similar voyage was for the first time for two other men, who were not familiar with the spouses and with each other.

Answering the question on the country of destination, one of the detainees informed that he wanted to get to Germany. The other violators reported about any other EU country on this point.

Border guards of BS “Verkhovyna Bystra” detained the citizen of Russian Federation. The man without any documents intended to get to one of the countries of Western Europe. The trespassers were delivered to subdivision for establishing the circumstances of the infringement and for preparing administrative and procedural documents. Decision on responsibility before the law and their further destiny will be defined by the court.

Palestinian was apprehended in «Boryspil» intending to take minor girl from the country

In the airport “Boryspil” border guards detained the citizen of Palestine. Against the court decision, he intended to take his daughter abroad – minor citizen of Ukraine.  The man was walking with 14-year-old girl to the flight “Kyiv-Oman”. Two days before this, the representative of Odessa Social Service of Children and Youth addressed to border guards with statement of the local resident of this city that she was a legal tutor of the granddaughter that was going to be take by her father beyond the border of the country without permission and documents permitting to cross the border.

Now, detainees are handed to MOI representatives.

Thirty two refugees from the Crimea asked asylum in Poland

The first facts were registered, when the citizens of Ukraine forced to leave the Crimean peninsula, asked asylum in the countries of EU.

32 Crimean Tatars (including 17 children) arrived to the check point “Shegeni” in Lviv oblast in the evening.

Crimean Tatars informed that they had been residing near Evpatoriya and in a result of received assistance provided by the military men of Ukraine, so-called present authority of the Crimea started to pursuit them. The citizens were informed that they made their way to Republic of Poland to get refugee status aiming to avoid violence. Ukrainian border guards informed Polish colleagues on this point. While Crimean Tatars waited for the decision of the neighboring country, Ukrainian side together with local businessmen organized the rest room and the dinner for the residents of the Crimea.

Soon, Polish side submitted positively the appeal of the Crimean Tatars and made decision to pass them to the territory of Poland.

It is worth to mention that nowadays more and more people intend to leave the Crimean peninsula. During the last days State Border Guard Service has fixed a sufficient flow of the citizens and vehicles entering Ukraine from ARC. According to the results of the interviews it was established that almost about 1 thousand persons departed from the Crimea constrainedly.

Public Prosecutors commenced a case against briber from Chop Customs and 33 illegal migrants

Inquest Department of Public Prosecutor’s Office of Transcarpathian oblast has commenced a pre-trial inquest on the fact of unlawful profit with use of employment status received by official of Chop Customs, which was combined with extortion (Part 4 Article 368 of CC of Ukraine).  It was established before that the employee of Chop Customs demanded €650 from entrepreneur to solve the problem by creating obstacles during customs registration and customs clearance of the vehicle. Immediately after the customs officer received the mentioned sum, he was detained by law enforcement agents. At the present moment, a question is under solution concerning the selection of the measure of punishment. For committed action suspected person us threatened with imprisonment for the term 5 to 10 years with deprivation of right to hold definite posts or be engaged in definite activity for the term of 3 years and with confiscation of the property.

Also Public Prosecutor’s Office carries out procedural direction in criminal proceeding started by USSU in Transcarpathian region on the signs of criminal  offence stipulated by Part 2 Article 332 of CC of Ukraine (organization of illegal transpiration of persons through the state border of Ukraine).

On March 16, 33 persons of eastern appearance without document were detained attempting to cross illegally the state border of Ukraine at the assistance of the service men of Chop Border Detachment. According to the words of the detainees, 30 persons were the citizens of AfghanRepublic and 3 citizens of Syria.

So far, the investigators conduct complex of urgent inquest actions on persons establishing involved in commitment of this criminal offence/

Six passengers with forged documents were detected in the airport of Kyiv and Kharkiv

In the airport “Kyiv” during the check in of the passengers travelling to Lubek (Germany), border guards of Separate check point “Kyiv” detained a young man with forged passport of the citizen of Poland.

The page with constituent date was replaced in the document of the bearer. The violator explained that he was the citizen of Syria, however, he presented temporary residence certificate of Ukraine. The forgery costing 900 € was purchased to get to the countries of European Union.

Also, border guards detected false signs of SBGS in the documents of two citizens of Uzbekistan, who arrived from Minsk and Tashkent. They were returned by a return flight.

Two citizens of Georgia intending to depart from Kharkiv to Kutaisi had false signs of the department.  Armenian arrived with the same forgery from Kutaisi. However, the forgeries were detected at once by the border guards of Kharkiv Detachment passing the violators to MOI officers.

In Transcarpathia Refugee Accept Center is ready to accept more than 200 persons

The last events in the Crimea force local residents to leave their homes and towns in urgent way. According to approximate calculations, the number of refugees from the Crimea, volunteered to move to the west of Ukraine after referendum, equals to the number of all resettled persons from the conflict zone during the last three weeks.

The majority of refugees from the Crimea and south-east (Kherson, Zaporozhie) found themselves in Lvov oblast. According to the words of press secretary of Lviv Oblast State Administration (OSA) Uliyana Flyshko, 836 refugees have already settled down. “We are going to meet 1829 persons more; it is in two times more that we have already accepted. There a lot of children among the refugees both Russians and Tatars. However, municipal authority try to assist essentially: place children to kindergartens or schools, provide their parents with all necessary things for life of full value.

Simultaneously, more than two thousand of Lvov oblast have already addressed to “hot line” of OSA with proposal to accept the Crimean guest, and within each day, according to the words of Flyshko, their number is increasing.

The similar “hot line’ is active at Ivano-Frankisvks OSA. As to the words of Ivanna Romanyuk, more than 200 refugees have found shelter in Prykarpattya and about 500 persons called us during the last day asking to help them.

“There are a lot of children, women and older people among the arrived persons. Their families are accepted by the owners of private houses and hotels that are in the very heart of the beauty Carpathians. All Crimeans are examined by the medics, and authority assists in finding work and place in the schools for children”, – Ivanna says.

Bukovyn does not forget about their fellow citizens. Fourteen families from the Crimea found their “second home” was found in Chernivtsi. As we were reported by volunteer Ekaterina Ponomareva: “This is an official figure, they all stay free in hotels or estates. However, we assume that the number of escaped from occupied territory is much more, as some stayed at their relatives or friends and we do not make statistics on them. ”

Refugee Accept Centre operates in Transcarpathia where people ready to accept more than two thousand people. But as Oles Ladyzhets, coordinator of “hot line” mentioned: “no one has addressed us yet.”

About 150 families agreed to shelter refugees in Ternopil oblast. But so far, according to the coordinator Nicholas Severin, only two Russian families from Changara and Kherson arrived at the moment, as well as one Tatar family from Bakhchisarai.

The similar a situation is also Volyn. According to the information of Social Protection Department of OSA of Volyn region, place 1,500 people can be found here, but so far, only one Crimean family applied to get temporary shelter in Volyn.

Russian woman asked political asylum while crossing the state border

The citizen of Russia asked for political asylum while crossing the state border of Ukraine.  The woman travelled to Ukraine. In the course of the border control she addressed to the border guards providing statements about her need in political asylum. Then, she explained that she was the resident of Moscow and also she added that she wished to get refugee status being afraid of pursuit on the territory of Russia.

The staff of Migration Service was informed on this point.

Also, it has been informed before that border guards mark the increase in the number of detentions of the citizens of Russian Federation intending to cross the state border of Ukraine at the borders on European Union since the beginning of 2014. The number of Russians attempting to get to EU has already grown in 3 times. As a rule, persons with RF passports choose Transcarpathian oblast, as there is the border on Hungary and Slovakia.
