Border guards of BS “Shegeni”, at Ukrainian-Polish border, detained a citizen of Congo, who together with her three-month baby travelled to the neighboring Polish. When expecting the locality close the check point “Shegeni”, border detail noticed an unknown woman approaching the border on foot. It was established that the traveler attempted to avoid the check point and get illegally to the neighboring Poland together with her three-month child. The law enforcers took the mother and child immediately to the subdivision and provided her with heating and food. Emergency was called to the place due to the danger of baby’s undercooling. The border guards established that the detainee was a citizen of Congo Republic, 1991 YOB. She had expired passport and invalid Certificate for Temporary Residence in Ukraine. The woman reported that for certain time she resided in Odessa, when her Ukrainian stay permission expired she decided herself to get to Europe with her baby. Impressed the fact that woman did not have any warm clothes for the baby as well as some food. Upon medical examination, the woman and child were placed at Temporary Residence Facility for the Foreigners. Decision on the case as for attempt to cross illegally the state border of Ukraine will be made by the court.

Joint special operation “Border-2017” continues – it is the fifth case for the week when border guards of Mostytskyi Detachment apprehend illegal migrants. Thus, the border guards of BD “Shegeni” detained a citizen of Turkey at Ukrainian-Polish border, who attempted to get over the border in illegal way. Border guards received information about the foreigner from the local inhabitants. The detainee was apprehended, when he was overcoming the barrage constructions. It was established that this man arrived to Ukraine legally – by plane, he had his national passport of the Turkish citizen. However, he decided to reach Poland avoiding the border control. The man will appear in the court for his attempt to cross the state border of Ukraine.
The staff of Mostytskyi and Chop detachments detained 5 illegal migrants from Mongolia and Algeria in the frames of special operation “Border-2017”. District inspector of BD “Krakovets” received information from the local resident of one of the border villages about the motion of some persons towards the neighboring country. The law enforcers started to the place immediately and in some kilometers there were two citizens of Algeria detained. As it was established soon, detainees of 1988 YOB arrived to Ukraine legally by plane, however, aimed to continue their trip to Europe in unlawful way.
While patrolling the border detail of “Shegeni” detained two foreigners attempting to cross the border in illegal way and get to the neighboring Poland. Detainees were the citizens of Romania, YOB 1992 and 1993. As it was established by the law enforcers, the boys planned to get to the Western Europe aiming to be employed. They made their illegal route by themselves. A decision on attempt of the illegal cross of the Ukrainian state border will be made by the court. In accordance with the Part 2 Article 204-1 of AIC administrative responsibility is stipulated in the form of the fine for the sum of 200-500 non-taxable minimum incomes of the citizens (up to 8500 UAH).
Four illegal migrants from Vietnam and their smuggler were apprehended 20 m before the border line by the border guards of BD “Vesele”. The group of illegal migrants was revealed in the settlement of Borysivka. The citizens, 1976, 1990 and two of 1996 YOB, as well as the smuggler, the citizen of Russian Federation, were called to administrative responsibility in accordance with the Article 204-1 of the Code of Ukraine as for administrative infringment. In the course of filtration activities, the Russian reported that he planned to transport to Ukraine 150 more citizens of Vietnam by small groups. The Russian citizen committed a criminal offence as to Article 332 of CCU (Illegal transportation of persons through the state border of Ukraine). They further destiny will be determined by the court.
Border guards of the separate checkpoint “Kyiv” at the Boryspil Airport recorded another attempt of giving an unlawful monetary reward. Syrian citizen, YOB 1970, arrived by the flight “Dubai-Kiev”. During the control the man was rejected in crossing the state border of Ukraine. The foreigner proposed a bribe in the amount of 50 euro in order “to solve the problem” for him to pass the border. The person was warned about responsibility for giving unlawful monetary rewards to the officials. This case of bribe offering was reported to the officers of the National Police.
In the frames of operation “Border-2017” the border guards detained two illegal migrants from Morocco. When patrolling, the border guards of BD “Velyka Palad” found and detained two unknown persons aged 23 and 28 at a distance of about 100 meters from the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. The foreigners were travelling to a neighboring country, where they were exposed by means of a night vision device. The detainees had no any documents. The border guards of Mukachevo Detachment introduced themselves as the citizens of Morocco. In order to draw up protocols on administrative violations and conduct filtration measures as for these persons, they were taken to the Border Guard Service. At present, the measures are undertaken to establish the circle of persons involved in the organization of illegal migrants’ trip.
The border guards of the Sumy Detachment detained two Turkish citizens. Thus, the district inspector received operative information about possible illegal activities related to the smuggling persons across the state border of Ukraine in the direction of Miropolia (Ukraine) – Plokhov (RF). During the realization of this information, the border guards of BD “Krasnopillya”, found and subsequently detained two citizens of Turkey and one citizen of Ukraine on a Chevrolet car, a taxi service that brought foreigners to the state border, at a distance of about 5 meters from the Ukrainian-Russian border. The men had foreign passports of Turkish citizens. During the verification the border guards learned that they intended to violate the state border, but their attempt failed. Also, the law enforcer found that the foreign citizens entered the territory of Ukraine legally. The detainees were taken to the department of the Border Guard Service “Krasnopillya” for drawing up administrative procedural documents.
The security of the state border has improved: except border guards the public unions join to the common work. Exactly due to the timely received operative information from the local residents, the Chop border guards managed to detain two illegal migrants. In the evening, the district inspector of BD “Onokivtsi” was informed by the local residents about the appearance of two unknown persons near the barrage fence. The border guards reacted immediately and apprehended two citizens of Turkey, attempting to overcome the fence and getting to Slovakia, in a mentioned place. Currently, the violators are delivered to the Department of Border Service “Uzhhorod” in order to undergo filtration measures and drawing up appropriate procedural documents. Then, they will be called to administrative responsibility under Part 2 Article 204-1 of Administrative Infringement Code of Ukraine.
The border guards of separate check point “Kyiv” found passport document in one of the passengers containing the signs of forgery in the Boryspil Airport. Thus, 38-year-old man with the passport of the citizen of Turkey arrived to Boryspil by the flight “Teheran-Kyiv”. When performing border control measures the law enforcers fixed a partial falsification of the passport, which the foreigner provided for verification. During the interview it was established that the persons originated from Kurdistan. Detainee looking for better life conditions intended to get to Poland. Currently, the man is rejected in crossing the state border of Ukraine. He will be returned by a back flight soon.
