Three illegal migrants were detained in Lviv region by the border guards of Mostytskyi Detachment.
Local residents reported about the appearance of two unknown persons in the suburb of the village Kohanivka, who were moving towards the border. The border detail of Krakivets Department detained two men 1.5 kilometers before the border line. They were Moroccan citizens. Administrative protocols were drafted as for these persons; the cases were directed to the court. So far, the detainees are held art Temporary Detention Facility.
Another person, a citizen of Iraq, was detained by border guards of the same detachment in the evening on the suburb of the village Krakovets. The border guards stopped him 500 meters before the Ukrainian-Polish border. The administrative materials were also prepared as for this person; the case was forwarded to court. It is worth noting that these persons fall under the signs of offenses provided by the Articles of the Administrative Infringement Code of Ukraine Art. 204-1 “Illegal cross or attempt to cross illegally the state border of Ukraine”. It should be added that crossing or attempt to cross the state border of Ukraine in any way beyond the check points of the state border of Ukraine without the relevant documents or documents containing unreliable information about the person, or without the permission of the relevant authorities, – entail a fine imposition in the amount of a hundred to two hundred non-taxable minimum incomes, or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
The staff of the Separate Checkpoint “Kyiv” revealed a foreigner with a forged foreign passport, when checking the passengers. The border guards discovered a foreigner at the international Boryspil Airport “”, according to his words – the citizen of Uzbekistan, who arrived by the flight Antalya-Kyiv having passport of a Bulgarian citizen. The pages with constituent data were replaced.
The servicemen of Chop Detachment detained the citizen of Russian Federation, who attempted to get illegally to Poland. The border guards noticed unfamiliar person moving towards Ukrainian-Polish border nearby the village Lubnya, Velykyi Berezny. Reaction group started immediately to assist in apprehension of the illegal migrant. As it was established later, he had been staying in Ukraine for a long period residing in the city of Dnepr. Planning his route thoroughly he decided to cross the border alone beyond the check points and try new life in Europe. However, his plan failed and the man was apprehended in the distance of 500 m from the line of the state border. The violator was delivered to Border Department to undergo filtration measures and drawing appropriate procedural documents. Further on, he will be called to administrative responsibility as to Part 1 Article 204 of AICU “Violation or attempt to violate the state border”.


The border guards found a single rubber boat with one person on board, which was moving downstream towards the Romanian coast in the region of 41 km of the Danube River, about 100 m from the Ukrainian coast. The district inspector of the Border Guard Service immediately informed the border department on this point and already in five minutes the sea border guard boat arrived to find offender. However, they failed to catch up the skillful rower. The border guards noted that the rubber boat had reached the Romanian coast and immediately informed their Romanian colleagues.
When checking documents the staff of check point “Kyiv” revealed three foreigners with partially forged foreign passports. The incident was fixed in the international airport of Boryspil. Arriving to the border control the citizen of Iran presented the passports of Turkish citizens for verification. Upon documents examination the border guards established that information page with constituent data was replaced. Besides, “happiness seekers” had also forged visa labels to European countries. The foreigners traveled by transit via Kyiv and intended finally to get to Stockholm. So far, the citizens are expecting to be returned by a back flight to Teheran.
The staff of State Border Guard Service documented an attempt of an illegal benefit of $ 100, which was offered by a foreigner, a Romanian citizen. He wanted to pay the border guards of the Chop Detachment to cross the border without any obstacles in the checkpoint “Tisa” and not to make a decision in non-admission to the territory of Ukraine.
While performing verification of the documents the staff of check point “Kyiv” revealed foreign passport not belonging to a person presented it. The incident happened in the international airport Boryspil. Coming for the passport control the citizen of Iraq provided passport document of the Great Britain’s citizen for verification. The foreigners traveled via Kyiv and then she intended to get to London. The pseudo British was revealed at once at the passport control line. In the course of the interview, the woman told that the she bought the passport of the citizen of Great Britain for $ 20 000. So far, the woman is returned by a back flight.
