The response unit started to the place to detain the foreigners. They were citizens of Turkey intending to enter the neighboring country beyond the check points.
The protocols were drawn up as for administrative offense under Part 2 Article 204-1 of AICU “Illegal cross or attempt of illegal state border cross”. Currently, all circumstances of the offense commitment are under establishment.

Information about the movement of unknown persons in the border area was received by the officers last night from a local resident. The additional outfits were immediately sent to search the offenders, one of which was found on the outskirts of the village of Strychava, Velykyi Bereznyi district. The two men moved towards the state border when they were stopped by the guards of the Chop Detachment. The detained citizens of Turkey admitted that they intended to get into the EU bypassing checkpoints with the aim of improving living conditions.
In the course of verification of the information provided to the staff of the SBGS by the local residents, the border guards of BU “Hrushiv” detained 11 foreigners, who planned illegally to cross the state border of Ukraine. The “seekers of better destiny” were the citizens of Turkey, six of them were children. Currently, the detainees are hold in the border unit in order to establish all circumstances of the offence commitment.
State Border Guard Service in the frames of special joint operation “border-2018”, which has been started from April 10 and will continue to November 30, strengthens efforts to counteract illegal activity at the state border.
In the evening borer detail of the Border Unit “Smilnytsya” noticed the motion of a group of unknown persons 50 m before the border. the law enforcers started searches of possible offenders and soon they detained two foreigners – citizens of Turkey and Azerbaijan. At dawn, the border guards found one more Azerbaijani. It was established that all foreigners arrived to Ukraine in legal way in the end of August by sea, however, they wished to continue their trip to the EU countries illegally. They are threatened with a fine for the sum of 8500 to 13600 UAH or administrative arrest for the term of ten to fifteen days for attempt to cross the state border of Ukraine.

When checking in the passengers arrived from Turkey, three UK citizens came for the passport control. However, the inspector had some doubts about the authenticity of their documents. During the detailed check of the passports it was found to be forged. The foreigners in this way tried to get through Ukraine to one of EU countries. The travelers said that they paid for the fake documents about 11 thousand euro and that in fact they were the citizens of Iraq.
Border guards of Lviv Detachment detained a foreigner during his attempt to cross illegally the state border of Ukraine.
During the passengers check in arrived from Istanbul, the border guards of the Odesa Detachment had some doubts as to the validity of the documents presented by the Turkish family at passport control. Upon further inspection, the experts have established the fact of forgery on the passport information pages of the family members. They had no any other documents.
