Two citizens of Azerbaijan trying to bribe the border guards at the checkpoints were found guilty by the court decision and imposed fines in the amount of 9 and 12 thousand UAH. Thus, on October 7, a citizen of Azerbaijan offered the border guards of the BD “Chernomorsk” $ 200 for unimpeded entry into the territory of Ukraine in Odesa region at the checkpoint “Illichivsky-ICC” during the passport control.
And on October 5, at the BD “Domanovo”, the guards of the Lutsk Detachment when carrying out measures on passengers control from the bus “Kamyanets-Podilsky-Brest”, discovered counterfeit marks on crossing the state border of Ukraine at one of the passengers, also a citizen of Azerbaijan. In order to positively resolve the issue, the foreigner offered a bribe of $ 50 and 600 UAH.
Certainly, the law enforcement officers refused to take advantage of the illegal benefits, and the facts of bribes offer were documented. Protocols were drawn up as to the offender under the Article 369 of Crime Code of Ukraine (Offer, promise or provision of unlawful benefit to an official). The cases were forwarded to the court.
Recently, proceedings were completed on both citizens of Azerbaijan, according to the results of which they were found guilty and imposed fines of 9 and 12 thousand UAH, respectively. In the second case, the offender was banned to enter Ukraine for three years.
Two persons attempting to cross the border in the check points using someone’s and forged documents were revealed by the staff of SBGS. Border guards detected these persons in the check points “Krakivets” and “Boryspil”. The citizen of Bulgaria tried to depart to Poland. The citizen of Iraq wanted to use the passport of the Swedish passport containing the signs of partial falsification – replacement of pages with constituent data. The woman arrived by the flight from Turkey, where she purchased the passport for $7000. Then she planned to get to Stockholm aiming to find better living conditions. The violator is rejected in entering Ukraine and will be returned by a back flight.
Three illegal migrants from Russia, Turkey and Armenia attempting to get illegally to the European Union were detained by the officers of the State Border Guard Service in the frames of operation “Border-2017”. Thus, during patrolling the border guards of BD “Knyagynya”, Chop Detachment, revealed and detained an undocumented citizen of Russia 400 meters before the state border. The man traveled to the neighboring country.
Border guards of BD “Vilok” detained illegal migrants from South Asia according to the information provided by the operational staff of the State Border Guard Service. Two men without documents were found by law enforcers at the hotel in Vinogradov. During the initial interview the foreigners reported that one of them was a citizen of Bangladesh, another – from Pakistan. Both foreigners intended to cross illegally the state border and enter the countries of the European Union. For further performance of filtration measures and administrative documents draft under the Part 2 of Article 204-1 of the AICU, detained persons were taken to the department of BD “Vylok”. Measures are being taken to establish the circle of persons involved in the organization of illegal travel. The further destiny of the travellers will be determined by the court. Otherwise, the border guards of BD “Tysa”, Chop Department, detained a citizen of Russia attempting to cross the border avoiding the checkpoint. The violator left only 30 meters to cross the state border line. The detainee was taken to the Temporary Detention Facility in order to determine the circumstances of the offense. Border guards drew up a protocol under the Article. 204-1 of AICU. Afterwards, the case will be considered by the court.
The staff of SBGS detained four illegal migrants nearby Ukrainian-Russian border. The group of migrants from Vietnam was revealed and 10 m before the state border by the border guards of BD “Vesele”, Kharkiv Detachment. The foreigner, YOB 1983, 1991, 1993 and 1997, illegally crossed Ukrainian-Russian border. Administrative protocols were drawn up under Article 204-1 of AICU as to the travelers. The SBGS fixes activation in smuggling of illegal migrants through the state border in Kharkiv region. Since the beginning of the current year it was the second group of illegal migrants from Vietnam attempting to get illegally to Ukraine.
During the joint special operation “Border-2017”, the border guards of the Chop Detachment detained 12 illegal migrants from Yemen, Sudan and Vietnam. The officers of the Border Guard Department together with the officers of the Operative Search Department detained 6 citizens of Yemen and one Sudanese near the state border. According to the detainees’ words, they came from faraway borderlands in order to get the countries of the European Union in search of employment.
Six citizens of Yemen and a Soudanese were apprehended by the border guards at night in Uzhhorod.
